I'm in the QF Lounge thread

At OOL airport right now and surprised to learn that QF doesn't have a single flight running right now. Hence as someone flying on a JQ flight, my lounge is constrained to the food court.

SYD Dom J for a while

Much quieter than yesterday at this time.

This also appeared on the app today. Looks like there will be proactive flow forwarding during weather via the app.

Also, pet peeve when people pull up right next to you on the communal tables atm.

Why aren't you taking advantage of the offer and routing via DRW, HBA, LST, ADL? Why fly direct when you can connect (for status credits and miles)?

In the Canberra J lounge for a while, then Melbourne J and can guest two.

CBR has an absolutely delicious chicken Tajine…I’d be happy if I got this eating at a restaurant. Sydney lounge, if you’re listening, I think it’s time to upgrade the three different colour variations of slop ‘n’ rice on constant rotation.View attachment 270831
Does J lounge mean Jetstar? Wasn’t aware they had lounges?

No. J is the most expensive fare class for Business so J is used as shorthand for referring to the Business lounge here.

If a flight has J0 availability that means there are no Business seats left for sale.

Ahhh thanks. Wondered why everyone kept writing ‘J’

QP (QANTAS Pub) is used to abbreviate the Qantas Club lounge. F Lounge for the First Lounge is a bit easier to follow.

There are other abbreviations used here e.g. the three letter IATA airport codes (MEL, SYD, ADL, LHR, JFK etc.) and abbreviations for status levels (P1, WP, SG, PS, NB) that you will become familiar with over time.
Hopefully "F" is back on the radar soon.
Already been there to that lounge last year. Unless the Int J lounge remains closed I probably won't be back for a while unless I go via SYD and successfully get upgraded to F as I'm unlikely to travel soon with my friends who are currently WP.

I’ve just worked my way up to being comfortable paying for international Business.

Not quite at the F level just yet.

I’ve read that Business class travellers are able to experience the First lounge in Melbourne when flying to London. Will get to sample it Wednesday afternoon and I’m a touch excited!

In the HBA QC, unfortunately no guests allowed due to being “busy” (although I can see at least 6 pods of free seats) so family waiting outside, I feel like a bad person! 😢

At Syd business lounge for a little while. Man the qantas lounges have gone downhill With COVID. No cheese Platters nor biscuits for my coffee. Wow! Oh and the dishwasher evidentially didn’t work as there food scraps on the “clean” cutlery.

MrsK and I are in the Canberra lounge. Only the Bus lounge is open, so it's packed to the rafters. They're coming around with trolleys offering party pies. It's self pour drinks at least, and the food offerings almost seem back to normal.

MrsK and I are in the Melbourne QF Bus Lounge until 4pm. We're already guesting some people in, but always up for a drink and a chat if anyone else is in the lounge
