I flew Syd-HNL 5/11/2012 and received my points and status credits within 2 days. The return journey however on the 19/11/2012 has not been posted yet. Dropped a line to Qantas FF and also Jetstar but no luck yet. Have not experienced this before..anyone know of why the delay ?:)

I don't know why there is sometimes a delay, but you're not alone.

The worst one I've seen myself was from 01/10/2011 to around 20/11/2011, or eight weeks. I put in a missing points claim after a couple of weeks and it still took over a month more to work that one out.

8 weeks seems to be the norm.
I believe JQ and QF are aware but not overly bothered in to working a fix it would seem.

Same problem here, flight over MEL-DPS posted in 3 days. Flight back now 7 weeks later and still not posted. Logged claim online, then after 2 weeks sent an email to [email protected], they responded saying it can take up to 8 weeks, but not holding my breath!

I always take an image of any JQ BP I have ASAP as I have found I will need to claim far too often than should be the case.

I always keep as much documentation as I can until the points/SC's post.

I've been waiting three weeks for a JQ flight to post. Not really good enough for A Qantas Group Airline.

Two months ago I sent scans of my JQ BP and itinerary by email to QF after SCs failed to post two weeks after my JQ flights. A QF rep rang me the following day and told me that JQ was experiencing delays lately in crediting points and SCs and that in the future I should just send my BPs to QF if I want my SCs to post quickly. She told me not to even bother putting the claim for JQ flights using the online form on QF website...

I usually wait 2 weeks, then send an email to them. And then, another 2 weeks after that, I ask for an update. Points usually get posted pretty soon after that. Although there was once, I had a bunch of 3K bps, sent them all via email, and all of them posted within 24 hours.

Disappointingly Ive had to request a points claim for my last 7 flights with Jetstar (5 x 3K and 2 x JQi). JQi took 6 weeks and then almost 1 month to post, 4 of the 3K have taken between 3 weeks and 6weeks, with the final 3K still not posted after more than 13 weeks (even after 2 emails and 2 phone calls). Very disappointing considering the vast majority of those fares are on MAX fares...so I am paying the premium for the benefit of the points, and also the advertising of Jetstar as a "Qantas Group Airline"

Wrote twice to Jestar and no response so today called QFF. Scanned my boarding passes and problem solved within the hour with points and SCs created to the account

Just a further to this, in my case of the 9 of my Jetstar international flights in the last year, only 2 have posted in reasonable time which were the 2 JQi flights originating from AUS. They posted the following day to the flight.

All the other JQi/3K flights with long or troublesome postings have originated outside Australia. I wonder if this is where the issue is somehow?

No definitely not.

Don't think so. I had a 3K flight recently that posted next day.

Last two weeks I had 2 JQ NZ flights posting in less than 24 hours (I thought it was because they were Max fares...) QFi posted in 48 hours. And now I'm waiting for QF domestic after 5 days... I always thought that there was some automation involved in crediting points!?! I remember last year some QF flights posted "in flight" (QF93 points were credited during the flight!) It's just insane how impossible it is to predict when points will be posted.

Are points credited by slave orphans in a basement somewhere in Uzbekistan?

I flew 2 Jetstar segments in December, one posted JQ1 in about 2 days, but I am still waiting for JQ3 to post that flight was flown 2 days later so I expected some delay but not a 2 week delay. At least I still have a piece of the boarding pass for JQ3.

Also Jetstar are very erratic about sending out the itinerary for flights via email.

I wouldn't fly Jetstar if it wasn't for the WP benefit of the First lounge, I am sure Qantas don't miss charging Jetstar for the passengers that use the First Lounge.:p

I had a poor run with 3K in July/August last year, but apart from that, virtually all of my JQ/3K flights posted with no issues. *touch wood*

As another reference point, the points and SCs for JQ1 on 22 December posted the next day. Meanwhile other flights took much longer (and require manual intervention from QFF).

Interestingly (and I remember this was mentioned in a previous thread), I booked JQ1 without logging into my JQ profile and the points and SC posted soon after (my FF number is printed on the boarding pass). All my JQ flights were booked using my JQ profile and these flights do not post on time. I have booked another trip without my JQ profile for February and see how it goes.

Maybe this is the trick.....

Seems like you've cracked the code!!! My JQ flights AKL-ZQN were booked without logging in my Jetstar account and the SCs and points were credited in less than 24 hours... All my other JQ flights are taking forever to credit if I don't send BPs to QF.
