In further on 10 July, the AKL - MEL JQ216 (A320 VH-VGN) is the 2040 hours up up and away ounctually at 2100 hours. However it had an extensive holding pattern due to the weather in MEL so arrival will be at 2345 hours, an hour behind schedule.

Northbound JQ570 has VH-VQW and is the 2030 hours mid evening MEL - BNE airborne at 2301. Resultant arrival on Thursday 11 should be at 0053 hours, 133 minutes late.

JQ678, the 2125 hours MEL - DRW took off at 2310 so A321 VH-VWY should arrive at 0247 hours (yuk!), 97 minutes tardy. This aircraft is likely to be on an early morning scheduled flight from either MEL or SYD so one would bet that is late, so not a great start to tomorrow for this aircraft.

Thursday 11 July 2019 sees JQ603 (A320 VH-VGV, the 0700 hours SYD - AVV) taking off at 0749. Arrival should be at 0906, 31 late which means briefly there may be two A320s at AVV as the next flight, JQ605 is on time.

In further on 10 July...JQ678, the 2125 hours MEL - DRW took off at 2310 so A321 VH-VWY should arrive at 0247 hours (yuk!), 97 minutes tardy. JQ678 arrived DRW at 0258 hours with the return JQ677 then taking off at 0405 hours against scheduled pushback of 0200.

MEL arrival should be 0833, 113 minutes late. As a result, JQ560, the 0820 hours MEL - BNE is expected to depart at 0920. This may be somewhat optimistic. This A321 is highly likely to run late for all of Thursday.

Friday 12 July 2019 will see JQ25's initial MEL - CNS sector delayed in its pushback by an hour to 0800 hours, as the flight is being formed by the twice weekly JQ8 arrival that if punctual should be at its aerobridge at 0620 hours.

This gives further weight to MEL_Traveller and Quickstaus' contention that JQ lacks sufficient B788s to operate all its timetabled flights, as it is not normal for an 0620 hours arrival to form what ought be an 0700 hours departure overseas.

family member was booked on JQ445 OOL-MEL this evening (1900 Mon 22/7) , but it has been cancelled.
Now booked on a flight Wednesday as nothing available tomorrow.
She was told no assistance with accommodation etc, as the cancellation was for a "valid reason".
I am wondering what that was.

ayebee, no domestic airline guarantees you will travel on the day booked but this sort of delay is unacceptable. 36 hours plus!

Do not let JQ get away with this. One could drive or travel by train and be there on Wed.

It appears that JQ has removed JQ25 MEL-CNS sector (temporarily?). Since the last flight on 12July, I have not spotted a scheduled JQ25 MEL-CNS for the rest of July or the month of Aug.

The best source is probably OAG but that requires a hefty subscription as it is aimed at companies.

The 1600 hours SYD - MEL, A321 VH-VWX, took off at 1802 so arrival is at a suggested 1922, 107 minutes tardy.

JQ795 (1715 hours MCY down to MEL, A320 VH-JQL) was in the sky at 1929 so arrival is 2154, 129 late.
