Earlier on Tuesday 27 August, JQ29 (1305 hours lunchtime MEL - BJKK, B788 VH-VKB) took off at 1417 with arrival suggested as 2017, 52 minutes tardy. This will delay JQ30. The aircraft arrived MEL at 2338 hours on Monday 26, 218 minutes late on JQ44 ex DPS so no standout reason for the Tuesday delay.

Still on Tuesday 27 August, JQ38, the 2235 hours DPS - SYD redeye (B788 VH-VKH) was not airborne until 0143 on Wednesday 28, so arrival should be 171 minutes late at 0906 hours.

The 0735 hours MEL - SYD took off at 0814 as JQ502 (A320 VH-VFF). Arrival should be at 0945, 45 late as the plane had to hold above Gunning.

Continuing with Wednesday 28 August, the overnight SGN down to MEL, JQ64 (B788 VH-VKF) is arriving 54 minutes late at 1104 hours.

JQ1, the 1545 hours MEL - HNL is predicted to push back 45 minutes behind schedule.

The 1605 hours afternoon MEL - SYD, JQ518 has got the flick as has JQ35, the 1745 hours MEL - DPS. Another JQi cancellation ex MEL, but dajop will be pleased that JQ7 (MEL - SIN) ran today.

Later on 28 August 2019, JQ515 (A320 VH-VFF, the 1400 hours SYD down to MEL in the sky at 1514) should arrive at 1632, 57 minutes tardy. This is its fourth sector for the day: all have been late, with the extent of late running increasing from its initial flight.

JQ437 (1245 hours OOL - MEL) took off at 1420 with A321 VH-VWX. Arrival should be 1633, 83 late.

On Thursday 29 August, JQ433 (A320 VH-VFT, the 0730 hours OOL down to MEL) took off at 1031, so expected arrival is 1240 hours, 165 minutes behind the schedule.

Also, JQ2 HNL-MEL (B788 VH-VKL) has a revised arrival at 18 26, 211 min behind schedule.

Additionally on Thursday 29 August, JQ29 will not depart for BKK until 2130 tonight, 485 minutes later than its lunchtime timetable of 1305 hours, while JQ1035 (a special to make up for yesterday's cancellation by the looks of its flight number) was meant to push back at 1635 this afternoon but is expected to do so at 1930 tonight.

How any international traveller can rely on this QF Group subsidiary is a good question. So many cancellations or late running.

JQ661, another Thursday 29 August flight, is the 1415 hours afternoon AYQ to SYD that took off only 10 minutes late at 1437 hours. A320 VH-VQP should arrive at 1833, 48 minutes late.

A3321 VH-VWZ is on JQ524 (Friday 30 August, the 0855 hours MEL - SYD airborne at 0942) so arrival should be 1050 hours, half an hour late.

Later on 30 August 2019, JQ437 from OOL down to MEL (the 1245 hours airborne at 1351, VH-JQG) should arrive at 1558 hours, 48 minutes late.

Friday 30th of August also sees JQ35 MEL-DPS with a revised arrival at 19 35, 110 behind.

JQ30 BKK-MEL was delayed overnight (B788 VH-VKI) and was airborne at 6 24, arrived at 18 06, 516 min tardy.

Also on 30 August, JQ17, the 1450 hours from MEL to HKT has VH-VKB taking off at 1756 with estimated arrival 2320 late tonight, 155 minutes late. The plane had arrived in MEL at 0607 this morning, 13 early on JQ8 ex SIN so plenty of time (in theory) to turn around.

On Sunday 1 September, JQ772, the 1625 hours afternoon MEL - ADL has been cancelled.

Earlier, JQ503, the 0700 hours early morning SYD down to MEL also received the flick.

Later on 1 September 2019, JQ607 (1535 hours mid afternoon SYD - AVV, A320 VH-VFN) took off at 1621 so expected arrival is 1741, 31 late. This will delay JQ610, the 1750 hours AVV - SYD to a projected 1810 in pushback.

JQ610, last of the night from AVV to SYD at 2030 hours has been cancelled, as has JQ609, the 2000 hours AVV arrival ex SYD.

Monday 2 September 2019 finds JQ2 from HNL (the Sunday 1 departure) likely to arrive at 1542 hours, 47 minutes tardy, in MEL. Aircraft is B788 VH-VKF that is forming JQ35, the 1745 hours MEL up to DPS so even though it is delayed inbound, the latter should have sufficient turnaround time to punctually depart.

Continuing with 2 September, JQ975, the 1750 hours PER - ADL should depart 45 minutes late with arrival at 2235, 25 late.

ADL had fog early this morning (Tuesday 3 September 2019), affecting inbounds until 0900 hours (with a couple of QF, one SQ and one MH flight diverting either back to, or to, MEL) but the JQ delay for JQ774, the scheduled 0825 hours MEL - ADL that took off at 1543 hours with A320 VH-VFH is diabolical. Arrival in wine city should be at about 1619, 424 minutes late. This aircraft previously arrived in MEL at 0945 hours mid morning on JQ945, the 0615 hours CNS - MEL so something must have gone badly wrong. It looks as if JQ lacked another plane that it could substitute for the defective VFH.

In the opposite direction, A320 VH-VGF on the 1405 hours afternoon flight was in the sky in ADL at 1518 so arrival as JQ779 in MEL should be 54 late at 1654.
