As at 1815 hours on Sunday 13 November, SYD appeared to only be using the east-west runway, not its favoured operational 'mode.'
JQ521 with A321 VH-VWT and up to 220 passengers was the 1725 hours SYD - MEL that did not take off until slightly after 1820, so given its arrival time in MEL is 1900 hours, it will be delayed at least 25 minutes in reaching the southern capital's terminal.
A320 VH-VQC on JQ416 (1730 hours SYD up to OOL) took off at 1840 in the early evening. Arrival should be at approximately 1855, 65 minutes delayed.
The 1740 hours from SYD down to HBA, A320 VH-VFK on JQ725 was not in the sky until about 1835. It should arrive at roughly 2017 hours, 42 minutes late. This is teh aircraft that as noted above this morning was 264 minutes tardy in departing from NTL at 1024 instead of 0600 hours for the run to BNE (JQ480). Cancellations and perhaps a change to rotations have allowed this aircraft to reduce its unpunctuality by about 80 per cent compared with its timetabled commencement this morning, but notably it is still late 12 hours after its initial flight today, although not as badly.
JQ756, the 1625 hours HBA - SYD took off at 1659. With A320 VH=VQA, it should arrive at about 1900, 50 minutes behind.
Behind it is JQ516, the 1620 hours from MEL to SYD that took off at 1731 late this afternoon using A321 VH-VWU. It should be at the allocated arrival gate at 1907 hours, 67 minutes tardy. A similar arrival time is in store for JQ461, the 1645 hours from BNK down to SYD that took off at 1735, meaning its aircraft A320 VH-VGQ will be about 55 minutes late on blocks at the terminal.
The 1735 hours AVV - SYD (A320 VH-VGR) took off at 1831. JQ608 is suggested as arriving 45 minutes tardy at 1945 this evening.
JQ790 (1740 hours SYD - MCY) took off at 1906 with A320 VH-VFV. It is suggested as arriving at 1938 hours, 83 minutes tardy.
