On Friday JQ790 SYD-MCY and the return JQ791 were cancelled "due to pilot illness".
No notification to MCY-SYD pax who were checked in before announcement made-most put on Saturday morning's first flight.

drron, JQ791 is the 1845 hours MCY - SYD. The first JQ flight the next morning should have been JQ781, the 0715 hours departure.

Was anyone who was not a local resident given a free hotel and taxi/ Uber/ bus transfers by JQ? If so, where?

Adding to Monday 21 November delays, JQ508 (mid morni9ng 1015 MEL - SYD) took off at 1112 hours. A320 VH-JQX should arrive 43 minutes late at 1223.

Later on Monday 21 November, JQ945, the 0930 hours CNS - MEL was not airborne until 1251 hours. It should arrive at around 1714 instead of 1350 - 204 minute tardy. The aircraft is A320 VH-VQZ.

Tuesday 22 November sees JQ771 (early morning 0610 hours from ADL across to MEL) having been airborne at 0655; arrival of A320 VH-VQJ should be at about 0842, 42 minutes behind the timetable.

AFF member Himeno informed us on the QF delays thread that there were many delays earlier on Tuesday 22 November with MEL down to one runway. In the early evening, the unpunctuality is continuing with B788 VH-VKJ on JQ1 (the 1635 hours long haul MEL - HNL) in the sky at 1719. Arrival is predicted same day as 0643, 43 minutes tardy.

JQ516 (1620 hours MEL - SYD) continues JQ's appalling punctuality on this busy route with a takeoff at 1735 hours of A321 VH-VWY meaning a likely arrival at 1847, 67 minutes late.

The 1700 hours BNE - MEL JQ569 (A320 VH-VQR) took off at 1833 and should pull in at around 2217, 112 minutes tardy.

Adding to Tuesday 22 November, JQ570 (mid evening 2115 hours MEL up to BNE, A320 VH-VGN) did not take off until 2333. Arrival on Wednesday 23 should be at an unpleasant 0039 instead of 2230 hours on Tuesday.

On Wednesday 23 November, JQ517 (1405 hours SYD - MEL, A321 VH-VWY) was not in the sky until 1558 hours. Arrival should be at 1716 instead of 1740.

VH-VKK, the B738 on JQ37 (1730 hours SYD - DPS that was in the sky at 1825 in the early evening) should be in the Balinese major centre at around 2150 tonight, 55 minutes behind.

JQ521 continues with teh JQ tradition of abysmal punctuality on the SYD - MEL route, with this 1725 hours scheduled flight taking off at 1829. A321 VH-VWT should arrive at approximately 2002, 62 minutes late.

Additionally on Wednesday 23 November, JQ825, the 1155 BNE - SYD is an unbelievable six hours late. A320 VH-VFL was airborne at 1818 and should arrive at 2034 instead of 1430, 364 minutes tardy. Did another plane fail?

Also on Wednesday 24 November, the 2145 hours redeye from HKT to SYD (JQ28, B788 VH-VKI) took off at 2320 hours. On Thursday 24, arrival is predicted at 1128, 48 minutes behind the timetable.

Continuing with Thursday 24 November, JQ775 (A320 VH-VQC, the 1340 ADL - MEL that took off at 1406) should arrive 40 minutes late at 1610 hours after being in a holding pattern slightly east of Horsham, Vic.

JQ795 (the 1150 MCY - MEL that was airborne at 1225 with aircraft A320 VH-VQP) should be 59 minutes late arriving at 1614 hours. It had been 'held' over Tocumwal and Jerilderie, NSW.

The 1145 hours PPP - MEL, JQ831, is similarly delayed, having blasted into the sky at 1249; its arrival is predicted for 1644, also at this stage 59 minutes late but this may be a slight underestimate. VH-VFJ is the A320.

Later on Thursday 24 November, JQ943 (1720 hours CNS - MEL) did not take off until 1935. Arrival of A320 VH-VQZ should be at 2355 rather than 2140.

JQ57, the 1740 hours BNE - DPS (B788 VH-VKL) was airborne at 1830. It should be at its destination gate at 2237, 52 minutes tardy.

Another MCY - MEL flight, JQ797, the 1645 hours that took off at 1735 should pull in at around 2108, 58 minutes late. Aircraft is A320 VH-VGO.

JQ522, the 1940 hours MEL - SYD took off at 2042, so A321 VH-VWW should be arriving at around the 2149 hours mark, 44 minutes later than timetabled.

JQ518 is the 2015 hours MEL - SYD that continues evidence of JQ's appalling punctuality - or more correctly lack of same - on the route, having not taken off until 2133. Unusually, A320 VH-JQL is arriving from the west over Sydenham and should be at the terminal at 2244, 64 minutes late.

JQ524, the 2045 hours MEL - SYD was airborne at 2138, so its arrival time is 32251, 41 minutes behind schedule. Aircraft is A320 VH-VFY.

The 1940 hours OOL - SYD (A321 VH-VWY, JQ427) was in the sky at 2045; arrival is predicted as 47 minutes behind schedule at 2257.

Southbound JQ527 (2050 hours SYD to MEL) took off at 2200; it is expected in the southern capital at 2316, 51 minutes late. A rest may then await for aircraft A321 VH-VWZ.

The 2115 hours mid evening JQ570 from MEL up to BNE (A320 VH-VGU) should be 46 minutes late, arriving at 2316 tonight.

JQ24, the NRT - MEL flight should arrive at about 0059 on Friday 25 November, 44 minutes behind schedule. B788 VH-VKJ is the plane.

On Friday 25 November, there is a jet fuel shortage at MEL due to problems with a batch of imported Jet A1 fuel.

JQ1, the flagship 1635 hours MEL - HNL is expected to depart at 1800 hours early this evening and then to deviate via SYD to take on additional (sufficient) fuel.

UPDATE: B788 VH-VKJ took off from MEL at 1503 hours on what is the strangely numbered (according to FR24) flight number JST7Z, or perhaps more correctly JQ7Z. Perhaps this is a diverted (via SYD) JQ7 that is normally the MEL - SIN day flight.

VH-VKK on JQ4 ex HNL is in a holding pattern west of Newcastle NSW as at 1556 hours, but is predicted as arriving at 1629 hours, 44 late.

In a further lack of fuel in MEL diversion, JQ17, the 1525 hours MEL - HKT is deviating via BNE on Friday 25 November to take on sufficient fuel.

JQ442, the 1800 MEL - OOL is cancelled.

The 1700 hours BNE - MEL (JQ569) was airborne at 1758. Arrival is expected at 2113 hours, 48 minutes delayed with the aircraft A320 VH-VGN.

A321 VH-VWT on the 2050 hours, JQ527 that was in the sky 61 minutes after timetabled pushback should arrive at around 2303, 38 minutes late.
