Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

JQ515 (Thursday 26 July 2018, the scheduled 1400 hours southbound SYD - MEL that was in the sky at 1452) has A320 VH-VGF and should arrive at 1608, 33 minutes behind the schedule.

On Saturday 28 July 2018, JQ441 (1620 hours OOL down to MEL that was in the sky at 1746 with A320 VH-VQK) looks to be arriving at 1942, 57 minutes late.

Much later on Sunday 29 July 2018, JQ720, the 1345 hours HBA - MEL took off very late at 1738, with A320 VH-JQG likely to arrive at 1911 instead of 1535.

The 1815 hours from LST up to MEL (A321 VH-VWQ operating as JQ744) took off at 2054 and should arrive at 2149, 149 late.

The 1800 hours PPP - BNE is JQ833 with A320 VH-VQZ. It was in the sky at a much delayed 2052 so arrival in the Sunshine State capital should be at 2205, 155 late.

JQ526 (the MEL - SYD due to depart at 1845 that did not take off until 2058) has A320 VH-VFK and should be at its assigned location at 2155, 105 late.

JQ789 (MCY down to SYD, the 2025 hours) took off at 2121 so a 2245 hours, 40 late arrival is on the cards.

JQ560 (Monday 39 July 2018, 0820 hours MEL up to BNE with A321 VH-VWU) did not take off until 0922, so arrival should be at 1118 hours, 48 minutes late. Last night this aircraft arrived in MEL at 2120 hours, five minutes early, as JQ445 ex OOL, but then had the task of forming the 2125 hours JQ678 from MEL up to DRW that did not become airborne until 2248, arriving DRW at 0215, 65 late.

Redeye JQ677 from DRW down to MEL arrived the latter this morning at 0743 hours, 63 minutes tardy so it was again impossible for JQ560 to be on time.

This points to another A321 having failed yesterday.

Due to JQ560 being delayed, JQ560, the 1110 hours BNE - MEL will be likely to depart after noon today.

Later on Monday 30 July, JQ773, the 1145 hours ADL across to MEL that was in the sky at 1308 with A320 VH-VGV should arrive at 1441 hours, 61 minutes tardy. Its nex flight is JQ438, the 1430 hours MEL up to OOL so expect that to be at least 45 late in departing.

On Tuesday 31 July, JQ613 (1100 hours from SYD down to AVV with A320 VH-VQF) was in the sky at 1140. Expected arrival is half an hour behind at 1305.

Much later on Tuesday 31 July, JQ44, the scheduled 1245 hours DPS to MEL (B788 VH-VKE) did not take off until 1718, so arrival is estimated at 0023 hours on Wednesday 1 August, 253 minutes late. This is because JQ57 from BNE to DPS this morning was badly late despite the aircraft having overnighted at BNE.

Wednesday 1 August 2018 has JQ631, the 1235 hours OOL down to AVV that did not take off until 1505 (more than two hours late) with A320 VH-VQR expected to arrive at 1709 this afternoon, 139 minutes behind schedule. Another A320 must have failed as this aircraft was last on JQ412, the 1220 hours SYD - OOL that arrived at 1344, four minutes late to then work a flight that should have pushed back almost 70 minutes prior.

JQ606, the 1545 hours MEL - SYD may also be delayed due to what looks like the above aircraft substitution.

Yesterday VH-VKE was badly late as noted above. Despite overnighting in MEL, it was also delayed today with JQ43 (0915 hours MEL up to DPS) not in the air until 1116 with suggested arrival at 1445, 90 late. In turn this will delay JQ44 for the second consecutive day.

UPDATE: JQ43 has been further delayed to DPS arrival at 1511.

Thursday 2 August 2018 finds JQ561 (VH-VQJ, an A320, the 0715 hours BNE down to MEL that was in the sky at 0829) likely to arrive at 1042, 57 late.

JQ735 (1025 hours mid morning MEL down to LST) is predicted to depart 35 late.

JQ68 (0045 hours CGO - that I shamefully had to look up a while back to see where it was - MEL with B788 VH-VKI) was in the sky at 0219. Arrival is forecast for 1407 hours, 52 late.

The 0720 hours BNE up to DPS (VH-VKH) took off at 0938, so it should be at its destination gate at 1345 this afternoon, 140 late.

Later on 2 August 2018, JQ564, the 1335 hours MEL up to BNE was airborne at 1438. VH-VQJ should arrive at 1619 this afternoon, 34 minutes tardy.

Continuing with Thursday 2 August, JQ477 (1420 hours NTL down to MEL, A320 VH-VQP) did not take off until a much delayed 1829 hours. Arrival should be at 1948 hours, 228 late.

This aircraft has been late all day with its 0750 hours BNe - TSV sector (JQ828) not taking off until 1143, so it has not been able to recover any time during the rest of the day. Last night at around 1830 hours it positioned from MCY to BNE, a very short flight, as JQ7993.

Friday 3 August 2018 sees JQ752, the early start 0600 SYD up to CNS (A321 VH-VWT) not having taken off until 0705, so arrival has become a suggested 0957 hours, 47 late.

The first leg of JQ11, the 0715 hours MEL - OOL - NRT has begun late with takeoff at 0825 hours for B788 VH-VKJ. Arrival in Gold Coast should be at 1003 hours, 48 late.

A320 VH-VGP on JQ506 (0915 hours MEL - SYD) was airborne at 0956 with arrival at 1111, 31 late.

Later on 3 August 2018, JQ511 (the 1220 hours SYD down to MEL with A321 VH-VWX) was airborne at 1320, so delayed arrival is 1440 hours, 45 late.

Also on 3 August, JQ35 (1745 late afternoon MEL up to DPS that was in the sky at 1920 hours with B788 VH-VKK) should arrive at 2308 hours, 83 minutes behind the timetable.

VH-VFJ on JQ948 (the evening 1950 hours MEL - CNS airborne at 2056) should be at its destination at 0013 hours, 63 late on Saturday 4.

Sunday 5 August has adverse winds for northbound flights ex Oz, so JQ43 (B788 VH-VKB, the scheduled 0915 hours, first of the 'double daillies' from MEL up to DPS that took off at 1006 hours) should be at its destination at 1410 hours, 55 minutes tardy. This will delay JQ44 in its pushing back but once in the air it may gain time.

JQ7 (1110 hours MEL up to SIN, B788 VH-VKI) took off at 1130, on time, but with the winds working against it arrival is predicted at 1733, 43 late.

JQ561 (Monday 6 August 2018, the 0715 hours that took off from BNE at 0815 for MEL with A320 VH-VFF) should arrive at 1020, 35 late.

Continuing with Monday 6 August 2018, A320 VH-VQF on the 1045 hours nicely timed for leisure travellers JQ954 from SYD up to CNS took off at 1213. Consequently, arrival has become an estimated 1510 hours mid afternoon, 75 late.

JQ477 (A320 VH-VQJ, the 1420 hours NTL - MEL that pointed skywards at 1511) looks to be arriving at around the 1643 mark, 38 late.
