Thursday 23 August 2018 sees JQ35, the second of the 'double daillies' MEL - DPS (neither of which are great timekeepers) having taken off at 1904 hours, 79 minutes after timetabled pushback. B788 VH-VKE should arrive at 2246 hours, 61 late. This will delay redeye JQ36, the 2315 hours ex the Balinese airport.

Southbound JQ44 has VH-VKF, having taken off from DPS at 1602. MEL arrival should be 2302, 47 late.

Friday 24 August's JQ633 from ADL across to AVV has A320 VH-XJE. This 1025 hours flight took off at 1109 so arrival is suggested as 1245 hours, 35 late. In turn, this will delay JQ604, the 1305 hours AVV up to SYD.

Continuing with Friday 24 August 2018, JQ477 from NTL down to MEL, the 1420 hours, took off at 1642. A320 VH-VFJ should arrive at 1805, 125 late.

The 1615 hours afternoon MEL - SYD, JQ520 was cancelled, as has JQ526, the 1845 hours ex MEL on the same busy route.

JQ525 (SYD down to MEL at 1915 hours) has also got the gong, as has JQ521, the 1600 hours.

JQ446 (Sunday 26 August, the 2010 hours MEL - OOL that was airborne at 2113 with A320 VH-VQM) looks to be arriving at about 2258, 48 minutes behind the schedule.

JQ502 (Monday 27 August, the 0735 hours MEL - SYD that took off at 0824 with A320 VH-VGR) is arriving 49 late at 0949 hours.

The number of 'tag' flights available as Australian domestic sectors has declined in recent years (although never very large) but on Monday 27 August, JQ37 (VH-VKE, the 1345 hours MEL - SYD - DPS that took off from Melbourne at 1453) should make its SYD arrival at 1558, 48 late. The 1640 hours ex SYD second sector will be delayed by about 20 minutes at a minimum.

JQ515 (A320 VH-VGR) is the 1400 hours SYD down to MEL that did not take off until 1530. Arrival is predicted as 1649, 74 late. NB that seven hours ago, this aircraft on a northbound was about 50 minutes behind that schedule so since then it has lost further time.

VH-VFX on the 1400 hours SYD - BNE (JQ826) is similar, having become airborne at 1524. Arrival is suggested as 1642 this afternoon, 72 late.

JQ907 (A320 VH-VGQ, the 1445 hours TSV - BNE that took off at 1536) is arriving at 1700, half an hour behind schedule.

In further on Monday 27 August, JQ37 (afternoon 1640 hours SYD - DPS) took off at 1754. B788 VH-VKE is expected to arrive at 2212, 67 late, worse than its timekeeping on the initial MEL - SYD leg.

JQ35 (nonstop MEL - DPS second of the so-caleld 'double daillies') has B788 VH-VKF and is the 1745 hours that took off at 1903, so arrival has become 2248, 63 minutes tardy.

JQ721 (Thursday 30 August, the 1120 hours SYD down to HBA with A320 VH-XJE) took off at 1213 so delayed arrival should be 1356 hours, 41 minutes tardy.

Later on 30 August, JQ576 (1735 hours MEL - BNE in the sky at 1912 hours with A320 VH-VQJ) should arrive at 2112 hours, 87 late.

JQ784 (0930 hours Saturday 1 September 2018 SYD up to MCY that was airborne at 1038 with VH-VQQ) should arrive at 1150, 45 late.

The 0830 hours OOL down to MEL, JQ12, was in the sky at 0933 so B788 VH-VKK should be at its destination gate at about 1138, 48 late. This flight had arrived in OOL 53 late ex NRT so that explains the delay to the tag sector.

The 0945 hours MEL - AYQ (JQ664, A320 VH-VQF) took off at 1049 so arrival should be 1303 hours, 48 late.

A320 VH-VGZ on JQ912, the 1015 hours SYD up to TSV was in the sky at 1156. Its arrival is estimated at 1425, 85 late.
