Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

JQ445 (OOL - MEL, A320 VH-VGV, the 1715 hours that took off at 1805, about 35 minutes tardy) should arrive at 2022, 42 minutes behind schedule.

On Wednesday 8 August 2018, JQ511, the lunchtime 1220 hours SYD down to MEL has been cancelled.

JQ701, first of the morning at 0605 hours from MEL down to HBA was cancelled as will be JQ508 (1005 hours mid morning MEL up to SYD).

The 0615 hours MEL up to NTL, JQ472 had a bad start to its aircraft's day with push back at 0658 and arrival at 0851 hours, 66 late expected.

JQ8990 (ferry flight not conveying passengers?), the 0810 hours MEL up to CNS is expected to depart at 0845.

Later on 8 August, the 0915 hours MEL - DPS (JQ43) took off at 1014 with B788 VH-VKF. A 47 minute late, 1402 hours arrival is predicted.

JQ8991 (B788 VH-VKD) may be another Jetstar ferry (empty) flight. It is arriving in MEL (ex SYD) at 1400 hours. FR24 suggests it was originally rostered on JQ27, the mid afternoon 1425 hours SYD - HKT.

JQ531 (Thursday 9 August 2018, the scheduled 0640 hours early morning SYD down to MEL that did not take off until 0755) has A321 VH-VWW and should arrive at 0909 hours, 54 late.

In a bad start to its day, JQ480 from NTL up to BNE with A320 VH-VFJ, the 0600 hours that did not take off until 0826 should arrive at 0933, 138 minutes tardy.

JQ36 has B788 VH-VKB and is the 2315 hours late night Wednesday 8 August DPS down to MEL. It did not become airborne until 0414 so arrival is estimated as 1121 hours this morning, 281 late. Last night it must have subbed for another B788 as it came in to MEL only nine minutes late at 2224 on JQ44 ex DPS but immediately turned around and took off at 2330 (very fast 'reversal') on JQ35, the timetabled 1745 hours MEL - DPS second of the 'double daillies.'

On a windy Friday 10 August 2018 in Melbourne, JQ43 (0915 hours MEL up to DPS) took off at 1008 hours with B788 VH-VKH. Arrival has become an estimated 1358, 43 late.

Sunday 12 August's JQ43 (0915 hours MEL - DPS) was in the sky at 1008. B788 VH-VKL should arrive at about 1356, 41 late.

A320 VH-JQL on JQ632 (morning 0905 hours AVV across to ADL that has less than a daily frequency) took off at 0958 with expected arrival at 1032, 37 late.

The MEL - NTL route seems to be 'bottom of the barrel' for JQ if it has a choice as to which A320 to delay. On Tuesday 14 August 2018, JQ472 (scheduled 0615 hours that took off at 0825 with VH-VFO) should arrive at 0939 hours, 114 minutes behind time.

Wednesday 15 August sees JQ605, the 0755 hours SYD down to AVV not taking off until 0857. This will delay A320 VH-VQR's arrival until 1017, 47 minutes tardy.

Thursday 16 August 2018 sees JQ17, the mid afternoon 1450 hours MEL up to HKT delayed to depart at 2045, 355 minutes late. The arriving JQ2 from HNL at 1640 (105 minutes late) may be forming JQ17 although if so it is a long turnaround.
