Jetstar Delays/Cancellations

Too late, have a qantas flight on same day, was going to take a chance and cancel JQ flight on the day if JQ7 late

Good god...what a complete cough-show! I just hope my friend's JQ7 actually departs in 2 weeks because it is the first leg of a complicated itinerary (all on one ticket at least).
JQ7 for Sep 22 has now been rescheduled for 9 hours later (departing at 9pm).

Today's JQ7 has been rescheduled to a 3:30pm departure. If it manages to leave at that time, it will be one of the least delayed departures for this flight in a while! 🙄

Now 610pm "Expected to Depart in 14 mins" 😭

I did check a few hours ago and it showed as departed. Then I checked at about 6:30pm and it showed ETD of 1910. Wonder if it returned to gate?

I'm on it tomorrow. Maybe. If not I'll be on Scoot or SQ (thankfully they have Advantage awards available, atm anyway).

JQ7 Cancelled on MEL departures board, but departed at 1925 on JQ website !!! No sign of it on FR24 at 2045

Now showing as cancelled on Changi, FR24 and Jetstar websites. JQ8 also now cancelled. Does this mean JQ are now down another bird?

They should @U#*(U#@'n well let anybody travelling with them in the next two weeks to cancel outright. I would have cancelled my flights several days ago, but as it is you're stuck in limbo land.

VH-VKA only has done two flights since returning to service so appears it’s broken again. I assume crew have gone out of hours while they attempted to fix it.

Do feel for the pax on this one. Waiting around all day then they finally cancel it at the 11th hour when they can’t fix it/crew out of hours. That sucks.

Wow...talk about pissing passengers off! You give them hope that the flight won't be too delayed with the initial rescheduled departure time. Then it becomes more delayed, giving hope that it might still take off. Then you go for the jugular and cancel the flight late in the night!

I think a big issue here is the amount of out of pocket costs people are putting up. I know two on that HNL cancellation, the only flight they could offer was 5 days away, they only going for a week. QF group had no seats at all. They managed to get a ANZ flight total cost $3500 for the two of them that evening.

Ok. So todays update. Yesterday’s JQ7 has been retimed to depart at 1300 as JQ1007.

Meanwhile I was woken by a text at 0530 indicating that my flight, todays JQ7 has been delayed 10 hrs to 2200.

The upside of this fustercluck is that when I went online to cancel my flight and book Scoot or SQ I was able to move to yesterdays rescheduled flight. Fingers crossed it goes.

Particularly the SIN flight lots of people will be connecting on - completely messes peoples trips.
JQ seem incapable of running an intl airline at the moment

What irks me is that I guessed about 4-5 days ago that there was no hope that JQ7 would depart on time. Yet they wait until 7 hrs before ETD to reschedule. Surely they should be able to forward plan? Methinks if they did that there would be a big outflow of refunds as people made alternative plans. I certainly would have, but for the twist of fate that the day before's departure is only leaving an hour after my originally scheduled departure.

Been a bit stressful as I have a work trip booked tomorrow - 17 hr "connection" on SQ in business class. As it is U class (way down the pecking order) and flights are really full, if I missed that connection, if there are seats available, it would involve upgrading the fare to Z class and probably cost $3-4K, which I am sure my boss wouldn't be supportive of.

I was reading that they cancelled one of the Thai flights, so pushed people via Singapore and connecting with Jetstar Asia, then cancel the Singapore flight now departing the following day (today), then needing to overnight to catch the JQ Asia flight the next morning. So a 4 day screw around.

JQ7 has not left yet so who knows when it’s going.

I recently booked ScootBiz $1k return for next February. Choice of two daily flights also. Definitely the preferred option to Singapore now for me.

JQ 1007 boarded late (started boarding just after scheduled departure). Latest delay due to waiting for crew. Looks like a 45 mins delay before pushback. C’est la vie.

Edit; Now 50 mins past due (technically 25:40 ) and now waiting for catering , which should be here within another 10mins.

Well, yesterday's JQ7 left 12 hours late and today's flight has been rescheduled for 10 hours later.
This is getting beyond a joke.
