All good here too. Just don't forget the relatively low points cap.

Met the spend limit last week, bonus points already posted. Haven't even gotten the first statement yet.

Yes I couldn't help myself and signed up for the Qantas HSBC card this week...

HSBC is 40,000 points for $199 annual fee. Jetstar is 40,000 points for $69. Why would you sign up for HSBC????????????????????

Jetstar are definitely efficient with the awarding of points. I cancelled straight after getting my points. And have already moved onto the next offering.

Why is that relevant? Surely you get the bonus points and then cancel, well before the points cap.

Sort of....I get the 100,000 points for spend on the card too. Just means I keep the card for a couple of months longer.

Back on November 30, I said: Identical to my situation: approved for ANZ Black within 5 days, declined Jetstar Mastercard. Number one son with half my income approved

I rang JQ MC after my MC was declined, asked "why"? After muttering something about "internal processes", the American voice said they'd look at the application again. I heard nothing more and figured they'd still left the application in the declined basket.

Lo and behold, a MC turns up in mail today, together with a massive (not!) $5300 credit limit! Still, I've got a $4k bill to pay, so I'll hit the $3k spend in one transaction. AS this is the only Visa/MCard I have that pays 1:1 QFF points, I think I'll keep it for at least 11 months.

This is also my intention, if I'm approved; I only applied today. My focus had been on Velocity points until recently, but now that our daughter is about to move to Perth, and only Qantas has direct CBR to PER flights, I'm back to hunting for QFF points.

Based on your post I just rang them to ask why I was declined. She went through my whole application which verified all the info I,had supplied was correct and still said that based on something like, responsible lending they couldn't approve it. When I queried her and said I didn't understand when I earned more than twice and was there something I didnt know about on my credit file she hung up on me. I might add that I was annoyed and said that I didn't want their credit card anyway but just wanted to know why I was declined. Great customer service

How long has it been taking people to get their bonus points?

I reached the $3k mark about two weeks ago. Since then, I have had the first statement, but it did not include the bonus points.

Within first 2 billing cycles.

I just spoke to someone on the phone about this deal and was told it ends January 16th, anyone can confirm this?
