Does anyone know why the Promo is greyed out and I can't select it?

When they are not available, they do show Not Available specifically

I believe it's due to selected flights are eligible for the promos, and some other flights (for the same journeys) are not part of the spontaneous promo, hence some are 'not available' but some are greyed out due to no availability anymore.

I don't think the big surprise has launched yet. the 20% off economy tickets was live before 4 PM Singapore time.

Judging from the IG post in question, the "event" started at 4 PM, but they are releasing the various aspects of the "event" over the course of the afternoon / evening.

These escapes are really disappointing - with all the daily flights to SYD/MEL/BNE - there are never any J awards at escape levels - even though it is often possible to get award seats (using SQ or AC points) within the same timeframe.

. I don’t get disappointed as I always assume (correctly so far) that none of thsee offers are useful for me so I never look at them!
