Yes, this would be of most benefit to those matching from VA, giving possible access to QF club lounges before domestic flights (tbc).Am I missing something? If one has qantas/one world priviledges that get you into lounges etc. This status will only get access in a few LA lounges?
Would suggest it would be the lowest level lounges, so business class, or qantas club if domestic.Anyone know if Black will get access to international first lounges w/ QF?
Someone should tell LATAM that Qantas is called Qantas Airways, not Qantas Airlines...The LATAM website is vague on lounge access (and it’s only lounge benefits flying QF).

I am living in the US at the moment so thinking about applying for this (Black from Velocity Platinum) just to get Delta privileges, but am I reading it right that you only get Delta lounge access if you're traveling or connecting internationally?

Maybe it’s a large possum…
I'm going to go to the airport in a couple of weeks and test the (probably heated ..) water. I'll spring the web link from LATAM.RE: Lounge access for LATAM Platinum and Black members when flying Qantas, I rang Qantas today and they flat out said no. Separately, I sent an email to the Frequent Flyer team and they suggested contacting LATAM directly. Has anyone had any luck actually trying to use their LATAM status to access Qantas lounges?
Call centre agents are unlikely to know lounge access rulesRE: Lounge access for LATAM Platinum and Black members when flying Qantas, I rang Qantas today and they flat out said no. I suspect we don't know until someone fronts up at a QF lounge with LATAM status and finds out what happens. I don't know about QF but many lounges I've been to often have a book hiding under the desk outlining who is and isn't eligible.RE: Lounge access for LATAM Platinum and Black members when flying Qantas, I rang Qantas today and they flat out said no. If we get Latam Platinum and fly Qantas, do we get lounge access, domestically and internationally?
Can’t seem to find the information online.

Does anyone know the answer to thisCurious about this. Could someone get the HSBC Star alliance card to get gold which presumably would be status matched by Latam? Thus giving a simple way for people without Qantas status to access their lounge?
No direct experience, but don't see why this wouldn't be possible. What conceivable reason could there be?Does anyone know the answer to this
Do they ask for flying history with status match? No direct experience, but don't see why this wouldn't be possible. What conceivable reason could there be?
LATAM doesn’tDo they ask for flying history with status match?
I'd say LATAM should make that much clearer on their website, but I'm going to guess that it never occurred to them and it's little value for them to fix it.I spoke to the ground staff at the Qantas Club lounge ( domestic) this morning. They confirmed LATAM members only get access to the international lounges, not the domestic ones. Thats a real pity as my QF Gold is expiring at the end of the month.
