Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

You should have seen the look on @QF WP's face last night at our meet in PER when he was saying LTG was only x SC's away and I jokingly said: "Haven't you seen the email today that the bar will be raised to 21000 SCs?".

I thought for a moment @Steady was going to have to leap over the table and administer mouth-to-mouth resuscitation (and I think @Steady was in fear of that prospect).

I must remember not to jest in such ways to, ahem, middle-aged men. ;) Hyuk, hyuk... :D:p
I think you're overselling it, @JohnM. I realised very quickly you were telling porkies and called you out - I believe my words were "bugger off". If I'm a middle aged man, where does that place you  :p. I know not to invite you next time, even if you did drive me back to the Hilton.

Just arrived home. Getting back on topic, after the SC's and DSC's post from my PER/MEL/BNE today and my BNE/SYD/BNE on the weekend, I'll be ~1,500 SC's short of LTG. QF had better keep up the DSC's otherwise I'll never get there

I never thought the day would come, and now that it has, I stopped to curse AFF for leading me down this path. When I first joined this forum, I was innocent - recently widowed and recently retired, I was looking for clues to help my travel plans. I was sucked in and now, with the expenditure of untold thousands of dollars from my retirement funds, I have just limped over the line to renew WP again and achieve LTG.

I hope there's enough money left to enjoy it.

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your LTG too!

I'm hoping to get Lifetime Gold well before I retire, but I'll see.

Congratulations. Just remember you can't take it with you.

Congratulations on attaining QP access for the life of you or QFF, whichever comes first. :D
But you are all equally to blame for setting me on this path!
There is no such thing as blame here, there may be directional enablement ... :p

So those of us that have got Lifetime QC already have that tied up - but my goal for LTG is the better seating and Sapphire status across oneworld.

There goes another keyboard of mine  - that must be 3 this year.

All I got was a letter thanking me for my loyalty and telling me I'd get the kit when (if) I drop back from WP. A bit underwhelming but I guess understandable.

I'll tell you how I go :). I dropped down to LTG after 10+ years as WP (a really low SC year, so no comp for me!) 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing yet.

Couldn't care less, really, as I'll requalify in 6 weeks (a blizzard of double SC turbocharged DONE4 flights, incl SYD-JFK :D) but I may come across some lounge dragon who insists on seeing 'the card'.
