Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

You wouldn't want to switch to BA now and then find Qantas offering Lifetime Platinum at 28,000 SCs.
QF LTP would be nice, but I’m not holding my breath. If QF started offering LTP at that figure I’d have a strong incentive to try to fast track my way towards LTG to give me a chance of reaching that.

I’ll add to the congratulations (it is a massive achievement) and highly recommend having a good look around at other airlines!

Well I have made it. It took a bit of to and fro with QF as my qualifying flight was a MH codeshare on KA which was not originally credited.

But the real credit for being able to reach this milestone goes to AFFers who have shared so much. When I joined six and a half years ago my goal was just to reach gold. Never thinking that lifetime gold was in my future. What a ride.

Thank you.

Well done JT - envious!!!

Well done @JessicaTam. Now surely BA and/or AA, AY will get more of a look in...

Let's just say that I have over 1,000 TP in future BA crediting flights. And how many for QF I hear you ask? That would be "none".

I would have to say I resembled that remark until I start with my new employer who flies almost exclusively QF!
Congratulations JT. You join an elite group (until QF find out that few of us remain loyal to them and reduce the benefits).

Still well ahead of me @JessicaTam :

At my rate, it’ll be years before I get there.

I probably have you on the AA Lifetime goal though...that’s my next one after I get QFLG done.

A well used DSC or two can catapult members towards LTG. This is my fervent hope with the one starting (hopefully) tomorrow ;)
Some of us would need more than a few to get close to LTG. For me using a DSC promo would catapult me towards LTS but the route I'd prefer to book isn't on special at the moment.

The problem when making Lifetime Gold a target is that it may seem like it's a long way away. I never thought I would get there this lifetime but it happened as I was striving for Platinum each year. Now I'm approaching double Lifetime Gold.

I don't understand why some people are rushing to get to Lifetime Gold only to start crediting elsewhere.
