Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

Congratulations on the achievement @Altair.

Next target 1,000 posts! ;)
Thank you all for the congratulations.:)
If it was not for sites like AFF I doubt I would have achieved WP, a number of years ago, and of course not even close to LTG.
I must admit it was a relief to attain this achievement, I was worried a number of years ago with QF problems and their change to the amount of notification time that they must provide before changes to the programme that it would be dropped and I would not have enough time to achieve it. No more I have SG status for either the rest of my life or the life of QFF, which ever comes first.;)
@Flying mermaid I lost WP status after we decided to have child #2 and the financial impacts are still hitting my flying.
@JohnK, I stopped coming to AFF for a number of years right when I hit 500 and started a trip report on my honeymoon 11 years ago. I returned but at a much reduced level a number of years ago so the 1,000 post achievement will be next decade:eek:

I am just glad no one suggested the triple lifetime status challenge, LTG on Star Alliance and Skyteam as well.o_O

Thanks all!

The only slightly bitter note is that I paid for lifetime QP and have only used about a year of it :(

Congratulation @opusman you now need to see if LTSG is the level you want or to maintain your WP level. IMO WP is much nicer but you need to still stress abut flying and accruing the required SC.

At least your eligible flights all counted.

I took 270+ flights between Oct. 1994 and Sept. 1998 and NONE counted toward my Lifetime status.
And I did two round the world trips in F, none of which counted because I didn’t know how this frequent flyer stuff worked until a friend made me join in 1998 :). Plus quite a few others. I suspect your 270 flights trump mine, but it was a lot of wasted potential credits.
