Did everyone get this?

Hello Voyages
Normally, not all fare types allow you to redeem an upgrade using your Qantas Frequent Flyer points, however for a limited time we've waived this restriction.
This means that for your upcoming domestic trip which includes travel in Economy from CANBERRA to MELBOURNE you are now eligible to use your points to redeem a Flight Upgrade Award* from Economy to Business.
Don't miss out!
To be eligible you will need to request your upgrade online at qantas.com by 24 February 2011.

How to upgrade using your points:
1.
Login toYour Profile on qantas.com
2.
Go to Your Bookings
3.

Please remember that telephone upgrades are not eligible and that you can only redeem a Domestic Flight Upgrade Award from 353 days to 24 hours before your departure from your first port of origin. Also, if you travel on a Flight Upgrade Award, you'll earn points and Status credits for the fare you originally booked.

Members must have sufficient points for the requested flight upgrade at the time they request the flight upgrade.

Not me just yet.
Would love the offer as I have a SYD-LAX-SYD 388 trip coming up in Y that was purchased super cheap via the last 90th birthday sale, and can't be normally upgraded.
Would put in for the upgrade in a flash if I could!

Fingers crossed the promo is brought back for international legs again soon!

Yep - just saw that flash through my BB.

Have a LAX-SYD 388 leg next month - will be requesting a J upgrade.

I've got the offer and now it is a hard decision if I want to use it for SYD-SIN.

It is worth mention that last time a similar offer was made all flights could be upgraded. Also anyone wanting to upgrade a normally non upgradable flight should get online to check if the system allows the upgrade to be requested.

I just requested the upgrade - LAX - SYD. So, working on Intl. flights.

I am very tempted to take the upgrade for my flight this Saturday, the 26th MEL-ZQN for 16,000 points. I have been slowly building my points up and I am not a regular flyer as it is entirely self funded. I have also never flown business before but based on it being a 9:30am flight and only just over three hours in duration I am not sure  Decisions, Decisions!

EXCLUSIVE OFFER - Offer expires: 20 Jan 2025

- Earn up to 200,000 bonus Velocity Points*
- Enjoy unlimited complimentary access to Priority Pass lounges worldwide
- Earn up to 3 Citi reward Points per dollar uncapped

Unfortunately got the upgrade offer for a PER-SIN flight next month. I think I can handle the 5 hours in economy even with a chronic recliner in front of me.

Does anyone know if the normal 3 months apply for these upgrade requests?

Email from Qantas clearly stated that not international only domestic.

I tried to upgrade but recieved -
Sorry

The site is currently experiencing difficulties. Please try again later.

Perhaps there are different versions of the email again. Mine clearly stated that my next flight PER-SIN was eligible.

Mine also clearly states SYD-SIN. Coincidentally on the same day as your flight. :o

Got an offer to upgrade Sydney-Auckland for next Tuesday and took up the offer to upgrade our red e deal to J...Had to use the premium desk as the Qantas site is down... so even though only 3+ hours will be nice to enjoy another J flight

Why don't you fly Jetstar? You might get lucky and have the non-reclining flight

Bearing in mind that I currently have 16 bookings, a random check of 5 domestic and international bookings will allow me to request an upgrade.

My email stated upgrade Brisbane - Sydney only but I wenth through system Sydney LA. Will see what happened 5 hours before the flight!

Ive managed to finally get into the site after trying for a few hours, to request an upgrade from LHR to SIN on the A380.

First time ive been in a position to roll the dice :D.

Silly question, but if i get the upgrade do i get the additional SC's as well?

From email - if you travel on a Flight Upgrade Award, you'll earn points and Status credits for the fare you originally booked.

I got the email but wouldn't consider using it unless SCs were earned in the upgrade class. AND if it wasn't for a short SYD-CBR route! ;)

Mine said HKG - MEL on 4 March, I've put in an upgrade request! :)

Last time the emails went out I didn't getone - I had foolishly forgotten to change my email for red emails from my previous employer email - but when I went in to my bookings it was still letting me request an upgrade on an O class discount economy fare, so for anyone who has not got the email, it may be worth checking.
