Hi all, we are flying Doha to Muscat on Qatar economy class. We nominated our QFF numbers when booking, but booked direct with Qatar. We are both QFF gold. Can we utilise priority checkin, boarding and lounge access ? Any advice appreciated.

Yes of course! You’ll have all of the benefits afforded under the oneworld umbrella.

Thanks, I just wasn’t sure because we booked direct with Qatar. Which lounge in Doha can we utilise, do you know?
Sorry don’t know about the lounge.

The whole benefit of the oneworld alliance is that your oneworld status is reflected during your journey on whichever carrier you fly, and however you booked :)

You can access the Qatar Airways Gold Lounge (South) or the combined Gold & Platinum Lounge.

Unfortunately this isn't as nice as the Al Mourjan Lounge which is exclusively for business class passengers.

Thanks again, it’s been years since we have flown economy outside of Australia, but couldn’t justify the J class tickets on the Doha to Muscat route…
They market all their intra ME routes as First class and charge a premium for that reason even though the flights are only around an hour.
Comes with some very nice perks but the difference in price between Y and F is pretty steep.

Yes last year we flew from Doha to Amman Jordon in “first” which was booked as a J class Qatar ticket. It ended up being a code share with Oman airways. We got into the Qatar 1st class lounge (amazing) and then lounge access to our “club seating” bus to the plane. We were the only passengers in the premium cabin !!!
