Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Assuming you have no EK status, You will have access to the EK lounge only if you are crediting the flights to Qantas with your WP.

hi there,

I am a QFF Platinum member. I have to fly this Friday BNE - AKL. I am booked on QF8770 (qantas flight number, but emirates a380 plane). I am assuming I am able to access the Qantas lounges in BNE airport and also the Emirates lounge there if I wanted to.

can someone confirm for me please? this is my first 'international' flight for a fair while and I'm out of the loop on what the requirements are these days.

I fly back AKL - BNE on Monday on QF8771, which is a qantas flight number on the emirates a380, so I assume my eligibility will be same.

thanks in advance.
BJ

EDIT: Seems I can enter the QF lounges no probs. Would still like to know about the Emirates lounges though.

Thanks again.
BJ

You should be able to access the Emirates Lounge and it will be open prior to this flight as it is operated by Emirates. The food and drinks (they have Verve!) offerings are much better in the EK lounge and you can board from the lounge. I wouldn't bother with the QF Lounge....

Thanks Serfty and AT. I will go to the Emirates lounge. Verve breakfast. I agree, the QP lounge at Brisbane Int'l is just poverty spec.

Hi we are both SG traveling on Emerates metal on QF flight No, what lounges (if any ) can we guest into a lounge if our guest is traveling on Emmerates ticket and Emerates metal But differant flight ( same day ) thanks in advance.

Thanks GPH,so how about Qantas lounge, can I guest someone who isn't on the same flight as me ,but on Emerates for example?

I think it's all pretty self explanatory. The Qantas Emirates relationship notwithstanding, jessicatam covered it well

Being new to club lounges it all sounds very confusing. I have a flight to Italy later this year and not sure what lounges I'll will be able to use on my stops. The flight details are as follows:

The flights were booked using USDMs and are all in J Class.

Outbound: MEL>SYD on Qantas (quick change over no lounge needed)

SYD>HKG on Qantas (3 day stop might need the lounge at HKG before boarding Cathy to DXB) *

HKG>DXB on Cathay (5hrs at DXB before boarding BA flight to LHR) *

DXB>LHR on BA (short change over so no lounge needed)

LHR>MXP on BA (destination)

Inbound flight: MXP>DOH on Qatar (2hrs before catching Cathy DOH>HKG) *
DOH>HKG on CX (9hrs before catching a CX flight to SYD) *
HKG>SYD on CX (2hrs in SYD so prob don't need a lounge but ongoing flight to Melbourne will be with Qantas)

For the stops I've marked with * could someone please tell me which lounges I should head for?

Thanks in advance

^^^^^^ what he said. As a J pax you will always have access to the operating carrier's J lounge. Just ask for directions at check in.

Of course, at some ports, other 1W lounges may be preferable to the operating carrier's lounge so it is worth using the site linked to above to find what lounges there are and then maybe ask some more detailed questions.

Re: Advice for LAX lounging

Hi
Booked and flying Singapore airlines metal in economy. As a VFF platinum member, not sure what lounge I can access prior to my flight departure in Singapore.

I also have a complimentary Priority Pass lounge access pass to use. Would any of the PP lounges in Terminal 3 Singapore be better than any lounge I would gain entry to as a VFF Platnium ?

thanks in advance

Emirates first class connecting in London Heathrow

Hi
I'll be using my Qantas ff points to travel on Emirates First Class from Dubai to Glasgow with a connection in LHR. So to clarify it will be an Emirates flight from Dubai to London Heathrow & then BA from LHR to Glasgow.
Will I be entitled to use the BA lounge in T5 before my onward journey to Glasgow?
i know Emirates fly direct to Glasgow but that flight isn't available

thanks for your help
Cheers
Pauline

Re: Emirates first class connecting in London Heathrow

I am not sure about arrivals access, but if you are in J LHR-GLA, or SG/WP (OWS/E) you will have lounge access.

Re: Emirates first class connecting in London Heathrow

Thanks JessicaTam, the LHR-GLA are all economy flights, they don't offer business or first. I've booked it as a Dubai - GLA flight but it just happens to have a stop.

Re: Emirates first class connecting in London Heathrow

BA don't have first LHR Glasgow so you will be able to use BA business lounges if you have QF WP (for BA F) or SG I believe.

Why stop in LHR? Don't EK fly direct DXB to Glasgow? Was thinking of the return leg last year and they did then.

Re: Emirates first class connecting in London Heathrow

Some BA domestic tickets are marketed as 'UK Business' and confer lounge access. It will be printed on the boarding pass if that's the case.
