Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

I would have expected it is ok if an LH ticket & codeshare (generally works for lounge access), and the lounge is open at the time of your arrival, however it's not that clear on the LH site. I'd certainly be trying!

Cheers,
Matt.
I certainly will , thanks.

G’Day. I have a mixed class rewards booking MEL to PER (J) to PBO (Y). All on same QF ticket with a few hours in between. The PER to PBO aircraft is economy only. With no status, will we be able to access any Perth lounge in between flights?

I have lounge invites but I would prefer to give them away on AFF than unnecessarily use them.

I have a query. 4x adults (including me) travelling MEL-SYD and CBR-MEL. I'm QF Platinum. So the website says that I can take in 2 adults & 2 children under the age of 17 along with me to the domestic lounge. However, I have 3 adults with me, with no status with any airline.

Date of travel MEL-SYD - 21 Aug 2022 (Sunday, 7 PM service)
Date of travel CBR-MEL - 24 Aug 2022 (Wednesday 6 AM service)

I'm thinking to transfer one of the complimentary passes to one of the adults in the booking and we all can access the QF Club in MEL & CBR.

OR

Do I rock up to the business lounge (or Club) try my luck getting all 3 adults in ? Any suggestions?

If you are going to ask for an extra guest, do it alone. I.e. leave your guests waiting in the terminal so you are not seen as pressuring the staff with the hopefuls looking on.

For the trip on 21 Aug might be worth asking, J lounge isn't likely to be too busy.
For the trip on 24 Aug, I would expect the J lounge to be close to capacity so unlikely to be granted an extra guest.

Hey all - flying out of PER in Economy in September on MH. I am QF Gold/OW Sapphire, and previously the Qantas International Lounge in T1 would have been available - but it's now closed

My question - on their website, MH lists the new Aspire lounge as their 'lounge partner' - has anyone been granted entry when flying economy but with status? Or is this only if you're flying business on MH? Thanks! (and apologies if this has been asked earlier)

Aspire is listed on the Oneworld website but currently only CX (with access based on OW status). So if MH are listing it, it’s probably ok to assume you’ll have access.

I can’t find it now but QF did have an exception for transcon J pax to/ from either MEL/SYD-PER that did permit access on arrival.
I’ll keep digging….

Dear AFF'ers, I've got a query. VA Gold flying Y out of MAA today on SQ529. Wondering what lounge will I have access to?

Looked it up in the SQ website, there is a lounge listed, but I'm not sure if I'd be eligible? Any thoughts?

VA status passengers only get entry to SQ operated lounges. No access to partner lounges

I'm booked to fly from Austin to Sydney via LAX later, due to my original AUS - DFW - SYD flight being cancelled, I'm now flying Delta from AUS to LAX.

As my International flight is Oneworld, can I use the AA lounge in AUS even though I'm not on a OW flight on the connecting leg?

This may be correct. I thought I’ll buy a lounge pass for US $29.

However, today at J checkin, I was offered a invitation to the Travel Club lounge at MAA flying SQ Y as VA Gold.

The Travel Club invitation looks like this

Unfortunately not. The boarding pass for immediate upcoming flight will determine eligibility, coupled with any status. A DL flight won’t qualify, regardless of the reason you are on DL, ie the cancellation.

(There could be exceptions… if you were flying AA LAX-SYD, and AA put you on DL from AUS, you could have made an argument to still get let in,but I don’t think that’s the case here?)

Great advice
Mine relates to FCO lounge
Arrive early (SQ - SIN) into Rome J
Taking premium class ITA some hours later to Catania - as we do hand luggage we choose highest class intra-Europe due to priority/free seat next etc which works with overhead access. There is no actual J
My Q
There is priority desk/boarding etc but cannot find lounge access in domestic terminal with ITA
Any advice appreciated
Tx
