Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Am I just being lucky waltzing in when the next leg of my journey is economy or are the guarding dragons aware that no-one can fly business into Launceston with Qantas?
As far as I am aware a business class ticket does not give arrivals lounge access. With Qantas you need Platinum status and above.

Mine is a simple, domestic question.
I often travel between Launceston and various domestic destinations, flying Qantas. Depending on circumstance and inclination, I often upgrade my flight home to business class. Now, Qantas does not offer business across Bass Strait so I fly business into Melbourne and economy for the next leg. Regardless of this, I generally walk into the Qantas lounge whilst I'm stopping over in Melbourne and always get waved in. Reading the rules, it seems that business class passengers are only welcome in the lounge if the next leg of their journey complies.

Assuming that you have booked J from xx_-MEL-LST my guess would be that you are entitled to access even if your flight MEL-LST doesn't have J.

Yep, here is a blog with a graphic of it (very first picture).

United Arrivals Lounge London Heathrow - Live and Let's Fly

The sign tells the truth. I ducked my head into the UA arrival lounge and flashed my TG boarding pass, just on the off chance. The pleasant lounge dragon apologised and said "Thai don't have an arrival facility yet". I doubt that much should be read into the "yet" part.

It cost £15 for a shower next door at the Plaza lounge. Shower suites were fine, though fairly compact. The lounge its self is small and definitely not worth paying to use. They charge separately for lounge access and the use of showers, so technically I wouldn't have been able to sit down even if I'd wanted to unless I paid more.

We are giving my son and his partner 2 complimentary lounge passes but they are taking their 5 year old daughter. Will she need a pass too as we only have 2. We are heading overseas the day before them otherwise there would be no problem as both hubby and I are Q club members. Someone said only 3 years and under don't needs a pass.

I don't know for sure, but QF has a very lenient policy when it comes to kids as guests (compared to let's say BA).

Thanks. I hope they let them in. Its in the international lounge as we are all going over for my daughters wedding but different flights and different days. Maybe if they are strict my son can ask a single traveler to guest the little one in :-)

According to the table below, up to 2 children aged 4-17 are not counted as guests. I would think that would apply.

Thanks I just called Qantas and you are absolutely correct. Great news. When I called last night I was told only 3 and under are not counted but the girl today confirmed what you said that 4 - 17 2 are not counted as guest.
Thank you again.

Flying AKL-SYD on Emirates in J but on the QF flight number - does this give Emirates lounge access as well as QF?

For travel on/after 31 March 2013 Chairmans Lounge, Platinum One, Platinum and Gold Qantas Frequent Flyers will have access to the Emirates lounges where available across Australia, Europe, North Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
The above doesn't mention NZ.

Did the AKL-MEL trip in EK last night and the EK lounge was full of people with QF tags on their bags so assume that at least some were travelling on the QF number.

I was on the QF number flying in F and made very welcome.

I recently flew AKL-SYD on EK with a QF flight number. I'm QF SG and had no issues accessing the EK and QF lounges. Flying J, you shouldn't have any issues either.

We are flying to Singapore Business class using Qantas points. We are Qantas club members. The flight number on our booking is EK code. Can we guest someone into the Emirates lounge or does it have to be the Qantas lounge.
Thanks.

Can guest passes be purchased at the star lounge lax? Don't want to walk all the way to the loft only go though security again

I'm hoping someone can help me with potential lounge options at BKK?

Transiting from QF23 to QF3440 (PG268 Bangkok Air) to CNX
I'm guessing a long walk to B2 in Domestic (I normally fly Singapore Air, not sure which concourse for QF23 arrivals)

Are there any lounge options around Concourse B?

American Express Platinum and Black
Priority Pass

I would hate to find out after the fact that there were some options we could have utilised.

Thanks in advance.
