Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

QF Gold members should generally have access to EK business lounges when flying on EK, so I would have guessed that you do have access in JNB. I can't find this mentioned anywhere on either the QF or EK sites though.

Are you a QP member?
Should have asked that first.
If yes EK J, if not QP member, no.
Google: (QF lounge access DXB).

Poochie, the only EK lounge that QP members have access to is in DXB, when flying on a QF flight number.

If QF SG, the rules are different.

HTH.

Incorrect!

Trg2u, you are entitled to access the EK J lounge as a QF SG, regardless of whether it is a QF or EK flight number. You are also entitled to a guest if on the same flight:
Lounge Locations | United Arab Emirates | Dubai International Airport | Associated Lounge | International Business Lounge

In JNB you may access the Shongololo Lounge if you are travelling on a QF flight number. Which rules you out.
Lounge Locations | South Africa | Johannesburg International Airport | Associated Lounges

QP members do not have access at either lounge as it is an EK flight number.

Apologies if people have seen this question before. I hadnt quite found a definitive answer and if i should create a new thread im happy to do so.
Does anyone have experience getting into LAX TBIT OW J lounge when flying out of a different terminal?

According to articles i have read and https://twitter.com/flyLAXairport/status/509094283161239553 You can enter any LAX terminal with a same day BP. Meaning that for my LAX T4 flight coming up i can go to TBIT.
According to QF's site you can get into the lounge. It doesnt mention anything about terminals just the right flight numbers Lounge Locations | North America | Los Angeles International Airport Tom Bradley Terminal | International Business

The question is has anyone been able to? Just because the above two say you can get in doesnt mean in reality people are.

3 hour layover so hopefully enough time to arrive on QF17 and then get back to the lounge for a bit and then get over to T4 for my 10am QF/AA flight.

Yes you can. I did this a couple of weeks ago. My flight from T4 was delayed (eventually cancelled) so I went to the QF F Lounge at TBIT.

Great
Did you have to go through customs are just security to get into TBIT? and how about exiting to go back to T4? Can you just exit or do you need to go through cbp to get out?

Just trying to think how much lounge time i can get as i also hear the lines to get into T4 can be down the street during peak.

Just security and just walk out when you're done.

Exit is straightforward from both terminals. When looking for the exit from a lounge/ departures area just look for the sign that says Exit/Ticketing.
You will need to pass through TSA as usual going into the terminals ie. BP/Passport and scanning including meeting LAG requirements.

Edit: Oops PF beat me to it. I thought you would be on the beach !

As there is no 'exit' customs and immigration in the USA, you enter TBIT by just going through security. There used to be an airside bus ( probably still is) you can catch from T4 to TBIT, so there was not even security.

As you haven't left the USA, and aren't in the arrivals zone, you can exit TBIT lounge areas back outside and thence to T4 relatively easily.

Still in New York :)

In what I fear is a disturbingly growing trend, SriLankan is now scoffing its nose at the oneworld lounge access rules: New Lounge Regulations for Sri Lankan Airlines in Colombo - Frequent Fliers 'Banned' Into Secondary Lounge | LoyaltyLobby.

Effectively 1 July oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members who aren't flying First or Business will not have access to the First/Business lounge in CMB.

I appreciate the impact for those with status, but for those of us without status - either redeeming or paying for business or first class - the removal of 'status only' passengers is a perhaps a positive move. Lounges are getting crowded, amenities are dropping, and when airlines have frequent 'double status' or '50% extra' promotions it contributes to the crowding.

I didn't notice last time I was in CMB but this picture of the entrance of the Serendib lounge only shows the Emerald symbol: Review: SriLankan Serendib Lounge Colombo Airport - One Mile at a Time

I should be there again late August flying J, I'll ask the angel/dragon which lounge is best:confused:

A couple of questions from a Noob with no status.
Just booked my first business class flights SYD-NRT via BNE for next Jan with the +1 travelling in Y on the same flights. Now obviously I will have access to the Dom J lounge in SYD, the Int J lounge in BNE, and the Dom J in BNE on the way home. I think also from reading the info on the Qantas site I can also guest the +1 in as flags is travelling on the same flight in all these cases.

Questions. What lounges are available in Narita T2 before the return flight to BNE and can I guest the +1 in?
I may be reading it wrong but the Qantas site also suggests I would be able to access the international J lounge in BNE as I am "connecting from a Qantas international flight in business class" or is this more referring to someone connecting to another international flight on a non-Qantas carrier?
Are there some other less obvious lounges I would have access to?
Any advice much appreciated.

I think in Tokyo you'll be limited to the Qantas Lounge. Guests are not permitted under oneworld class-of-service lounge access rules (but are under QF's). So the JL lounge would rule out guesting.

For BNE you are correct, you will only be able to enter lounges you have access to. If you are connecting to a domestic service, the international lounge won't be available.

Re: Advice for LAX lounging

Looks like we have a choice of three or more Priority Pass lounges in Mexico City (also AMEX Centurion Club I think). Is anyone familiar with these and could advise me whether, given a choice, some of these are better than others?
