Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Hello everyone, QF WP flying QF23 into BKK and connecting to TG315 to DEL, approx 4 hour layover. All on one booking. No status with TG or any other *A airline.

I have VA WP, if that means anything in this scenario. I also have a Amex QF Ultimate card, Citibank Velocity Rewards CC, NAB Platinum Rewards Velocity CC.

From my understanding, if I need any sort of lounge access at BKK prior to boarding the TG to DEL, I'd need to pay for it, rather than be eligible via some other means?

Unless you have a Plat Charge card then I think you will need to pay.

Flying PER-DOH on QR first and connecting to a separate QR booking DOH-AMM on the same day. Would that give me access to Al Safwa lounge?

I was at Sydney international busines lounge Qantas and told I can't bring a guest (who is my marriage partner) travelling on a QF code share marketed flight on LAN metal. The website says different. Both agents would not let us in. I am QFF gold. Does QF codeshare mean nothing now?

Wonder if the lounge was at capacity? Agree the website would suggest that you should have been allowed a guest.

What explanation did they provide you on the day? I’m assuming you challenged them re: your entitlement to guest someone into the lounge.
I said it was booked on Qantas.com with a Qantas code share. But they said, no it LATAN. She checked with the other agent ( not looking at the boarding pass, which was printed LATAN. But had marketed as Qantas on it). Then she said, you have to be travelling together on the same ticket. I said I believe it is same day, but she just handed back the boarding passes and she then left us and took a call. We walked out.

Hi I'm wondering if I would have access to EK lounges travelling on QF codeshare (JL operated) with QFP.

Seeing if EK at NRT is available to check out. And yes Im aware theres the JL F lounge, seeing which lounges we can crawl around to before settling in the F Lounge.

Sorry - no chance on that one. QF or EK metal only.

Folks

Flying BA club world LHR-LAX and QF Platinum.
I think I can use the First fast entry gate and get into the BA First Class lounge?

Is that correct? Don’t want to be embarrassed by being escorted out and my DYKWIA card seems to have got lost in the mail 🙁 so can’t pull that out.

The BA First checkin area (T5 far right) is fab. Check luggage, scan BP (departure immigration), dedicated security and you’re deposited directly into the “First” lounge. Even if you’re HLO, take that route.

Main criticism is the F lounge is too small for the number of OWEs passing through on any given day.
