Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Any chance of my partner linking her lounge invitation passes to a JL Codeshare (QF) flight?
I believe her actual flight is SIN > MEL (QF38) with 4 family members but as it's booked as JL codeshare I'm not sure if they would be able to link the lounge access.

She should certainly check if it shows up, but I believe it needs to be marketed and operated by QF or JQ to appear in the list.

traveling business Vancouver to LAX to BNE on Fiji airways on the one ticket but west jet code on first flight
Is there any lounge access I am entitled to in Vancouver. I am not holding a gold tier in Qantas.
On the website of Fiji airways it says I can use sky teams lounge but I suspect this is for direct flights.Any help appreciated.

There’s nothing (no lounges) on the Transboarder section of YVR. Well, apart from a paid PP(?) lounge that was standing room only when I walked past a few months ago.

Can anyone point me to the QR policy on guesting (or not) for the Al Mourjan / Garden lounges in DOH and the premium lounges eg LHR/SIN?

Their website explicitly says no guests for the Al Safwa (First lounge) for F class PAX. But it's silent on the J lounges. The other OW lounges (Platinum/Gold) appear to have the usual OW guest policy (as you'd expect).

I'm curious of someone on a QR J tix "Classic" or higher fare can guest someone on a QR J "Lite" fare (who'd not normally have J lounge access)?

Similarly, if traveling on a QR J "Lite" or whY fare, presumably a OWE card will still provide access to the "partner" lounges away from DOH?

I’m not sure about all your queries but I’m fairly certain that J pax can’t guest others into lounges but if you have OW status you can guest.
Others may have more recent experiences

I’m not sure a OWE/S on a QR J “classic” or higher fare can guest into the J Lounges either of the back of status? It’s just the BP. With the exception of QR’s own status members - a they can get the Al Safwa lounge!

I’m looking a some “Lite” fares and just trying to work out the lounge minefield. Although I’m not expecting any drama getting into the DOH OW lounges with OWE status and QR J “Lite” fare.

Yes you are correct. Need to be a QR elite or on a classic or higher J fare.
It really is a minefield trying to decipher eir lounge rules

Hi,
Qatar Gold till 31st December, I guess I drop off to Silver after that.
Have booked four reward flights through Velocity for May next year, all on Qatar Airways.
Platinum with Virgin
1.Perth to Doha economy reward
2 Doha to Paris Business reward
3. Rome to Doha Business reward
4. Doha to Perth Business reward

What lounges will I get?
Does Reward ticket status effect?

Thanks for any help.

I don’t honestly know about PER but according to the QR website QR Silvers get access to the Air NZ lounge.
In Doha you should get the Al Mourjan lounges
Rome apparently is the Prima Vista for QR Silvers

Reward flights are supposed to have J lounge access.

VA WP will also get access to the QR Platinum lounges in DOH.

I am meeting up with my London-based son for a couple of weeks holiday in the US in March (Brisbane Broncos playing in Vegas is the main excuse). Once that's over he and I will fly out of LAX on the same day, him back to LHR on British Airways and me for another week solo in NY, flying American Airlines. I'm a Qantas Gold member so assume I will have access to AA's LAX Flagship Lounge before the flight to NY. Will I be able to get my son into the lounge as a guest?

Yes you will be able to access the Flagship lounge and guest your son.
You will also have access to the Oneworld Lounge at TBIT and can guest one.

If I am velocity platinum and considering booking economy flights through United Air to fly with a US / Canada itinerary. On the way home the United flight from Montreal to LA is with Air Canada. Will I get lounge access In Montreal?
If I was booked through Air Canada, I would, but was unsure if the code share allows it?

Also, i have applied to receive a status match through Singapore Air. If that were to be granted, would the status with a Star Alliance member make a difference? And if so, would that only apply if using a Kris flyer number as opposed to my Velocity number?

Thanks!

Having now booked some flights and one of my issues has evaporated (the option to be guested if travelling on a J “Lite” fare returning home), so some specific questions:

1. Flying CGK-DOH on a QR J “Lite” fare as a solo QF WP (OWE), will I still get access to the allocated QR partner lounge? (according to Oneworld.com, that’s the Garuda Business lounge at T3).
2. Flying DOH-MAD on a QR J “Lite” fare as a solo QF WP (OWE) BUT operated by IB, what are the chances of accessing one of the Al Mourjan business lounges or should I expect the Platinum lounges?

My return flights are booked as “Classic” J fares, so all good…

1. Not sure, but give it a try.
2. Expect the Platinum lounge. The Al Mourjan staff check the fare bucket closely, regardless of the metal.

Hi all, my wife VA silver and I SQ silver are travelling business with our 2 teenagers to Japan in 1 week, the 2 kids only in economy. Has anyone been able to get guest's into the SQ lounge in changi? If it's not an option of each taking a guest which priority pass Lounge would you recommend for the teenagers (17 and 18)?
