Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

I believe you will be refused entry as Velocity Plat/Gold traveling on Singapore Airlines only gets lounge access if the lounge is operated by Singapore Airlines.

Re: Lounge access in LAX - QF to WS

SYD-LAX (QF in J, Platinum 1)
LAX-Canada (WS).

6 hour layover. 2 kids.

Can I use the QF F lounge in TBIT before walking over to T2?

No, you can't unfortunately. We did this transfer/connection earlier this year. No lounge access.
Was that before the T2 connector opened? Although, it may make no difference if strictly enforcing “next onward flight”.

It was, although I doubt it would have made any difference given onward flight's with WS.
Technically a QF code (if available) ought to get you in but the staff don’t always understand that.

Hi,

Travelling with Malaysia Airlines through Heathrow, Kuala Lumpur and Perth next month and wondering how you access partner lounges, if that's the right term!

Do you need to ask for a pass at check in, or just show boarding card as wondering whether we could do a little lounge surfing at Heathrow😃

Also, other than paid lounges, is there a time limit generally please?

Appreciate your help.

What class of travel and/or status do you have?

Sorry, missed that!

We're travelling Malaysia Business booked with them direct, thanks. No status sadly.
Hi - if you are travelling in business on a oneworld airline (like MH), then you can access theirs and any other oneworld business lounges. All you need to do is show your boarding pass at the entry desk for scanning.

See here for details on what you have available at each port: Airport Lounges: oneworld Lounges & Airport Lounge Access

Best are probably - Qatar Premium Lounge (T4 Heathrow - there are more options in T3, but unless you have a lot of time it may not be worth it), MH Golden Lounge (Satellite building, KLIA T1) & QF Domestic Business Lounge (Perth)

Cheers,
Matt.

Didn't know if there would be an exception given I've got a family in tow and am Platinum 1.

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Another LAX - QF to WS Lounge Access Question:

Me: Paid Ticket - QF WP Travelling J QF11 Connecting to QF3349 (But WS Metal)
Fam: Award Tickets - 1x OWE & 3x NB (All under 18) Travelling J on QF11 Connecting to same flight but with WS Flight Number

From what I understand reading a few other people's experience here, I would get access as am connecting to a QF Flight Number, but the Fam would not due to being on WS Flight Number?

If so, as is a 6 hour transit, was thinking of getting 5 Fully Refundable tickets on Alaskan or AA to SFO and then using these to enter the QF First Lounge in TBIT and then take the new airside connecter over to T2 when ready to depart. Would then cancel the Alaskan/AA Tickets as I walk out the lounge?

Will TSA take issue that I hold tickets on both WS and Alaskan/AA tickets on the same day?

Cheers.

Don't think the TSA will have an issue. But Qantas might.

An abuse of the program can lead to termination, losing your status.

Hope it is ok to post this question (Admin, please delete if not ok).
I’m travelling business class on QF and arrive 5.30am and have a 2 hour wait to pick up my hire car (best deal I could find). Is there a lounge on arrival that I can go to wait for the 2 hours? Thanks for reading.

Hi all, on this Wednesday the 8th we are travelling CX252 LHR to HKG in F, and then CX157 HKG to BNE in J. We plan on visiting the CX and QF lounges in LHR plus maybe the BA and AA lounges. We then have about 4 1/2 hour layover in HKG and want to do a bit of a lounge hop and was after thoughts on which lounges to visit and in what order. I understand there can be a bit of a walk depending on which gate we depart from. We will have access to the CX Flounges as we are flying F in to HKG. Thank you 🙏.
