Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Hi all,
I am flying to Brussels with EK (EK metal and flight number, booked on EK) first leg is MEL/DXB in PE and DXB/BRU in Y. At present I have my QFF number on the booking to ensure I can enter the lounges. My question is, if use my new Emirates Skywards number on the booking can I produce my QFF Platinum card at the lounge to enter ?

Trying for the best of both worlds here, start the status grind on EK and use my QF status to get into lounges. Return journey is CDG/DXB in Y and DXB/MEL in PE.

Thanks in advance.
Qantas have a rule that status based lounge access is dependant on the Frequent Flyer number in the booking.

The oneworld rules are different in that the traveller merely needs to have the status that enables entry - this applies when travelling on a oneworld flight number on oneworld metal (which includes Qantas marketed and Qantas operated). This overrides the Qantas rule.

Since EK is not a oneworld member airline, the first rule applies.

So I should leave my QFF number on the EK booking and be assured of lounge access ?

I haven't done this before, but I've read that it's possible to change the FF number right up until boarding.
In your case, you could potentially leave the QFF number until your boarding pass gets printed with it, then change it online or get the lounge/gate agent to do it for you (as the article points out, please ask this when they're not busy)

Hi All,
I'm travelling on the red-eye to SIN on SQ with lounge access courtesy of VA Platinum. Can I get KrisFlyer lounge arrival access for a shower?
Thanks.
Suggestions for Plan B?

Suggestions for Plan B?
In the pre-covid days flying with SQ as a VA Platinum got you lounge access to the Kris Gold lounge which didn't have showers. The Silver Kris lounge was strictly for SQ with status or if you were flying business. Not sure what it's like now and sorry but no suggestions for a shower plan B. I have used the AMEX lounge in SIN, but didn't look for showers and of course you need the correct AMEX card to access.

The issue here is arrivals access, which I don’t believe is a benefit of the SQ lounges.

There are paid lounges, or alternatively I think one of the airside hotels has shower facilities. I know the pool does, entry gets you the shower rooms as well (part of the pool).

Just remember to travel back to your arrival terminal to enter singapore. If you land at T3 but use a lounge, hotel or pool in another terminal, you need to make your way back to T3 to enter and collect your luggage. (If you have no luggage you can enter at any terminal.)

The Star Gold Lounge at SIN T3 was redone through covid and now has showers. There is a Star Gold Lounge at SIN T2 but it is not nearly as nice; I don't believe it has showers,

FWIW, If you have time to use T3 *G lounge rather than the one on T2, then do so - it is much better.

Landing in T3. T2 has always been ordinary but hopefully it gets better with the T2 refurb.
Might have a spare priority pass to use or look like Changi lounge in Jewel is an option.

If it's just the shower you are after, then perhaps this might work? You would need to take the Skytrain to T2, but only adds a few minutes:

I was told that it was a b@llache to get to. Especially with luggage. Mainly for end of trip facilities for airport staff who ride/run into work.
ha - fair enough. I think there is also paid shower facilities at the pool in T1, but if you have a PP entry to burn, it's likely your better option

Hi I just want to confirm that by holding both QF gold and Delta Gold, I'd have access departing SYD on MU the QF Int'l J lounge as well as the skyteam lounge.

Also anyone know what the PVG Int'l departure situation is with MU for lounges right now?

Apologies if this question has been asked, but I could not find the answer searching this forum or on Google.

I'm flying business class as a QF Gold with Qantas to Noumea from Sydney and wondering if New Caledonia falls under the partnership with Emirates that allows access to the EK lounge?

The list of what regions have access to the EK lounge in Sydney I've seen does not mention the Pacific, but spells out that Americas is not entitled and NZ is. Would be nice to have access as QF91 always seems to be depart right where Emirates has its lounge.

I've used the EK lounge in Sydney Int when flying on a QF ticket and metal from that part of the terminal. I am not sure if being WP helped. BTW great lounge.

I'm flying J with Qatar into Doha, and then onwards to LHR in Y. For the Doha transit will I have lounge access based on the inbound business flight?

Assuming you're flying from Australia, I don't think you'll have lounge access as they're both long haul flights.
The question is whether QR has more generous access policies in place when connecting between QR services. I can’t seem to find the answer to that anywhere.

Does QR have arrival access in lounges? I know that as a WP I can access domestic Qantas lounges on arrival. You need to check the QR T&Cs.

Has anyone recently flown Singapore Airlines from New Delhi with Velocity Platinum or gold status? Was there lounge access in New Delhi? SIA website says they use the Encalm Prive lounge.
