Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Hi all, on this Wednesday the 8th we are travelling CX252 LHR to HKG in F, and then CX157 HKG to BNE in J. We plan on visiting the CX and QF lounges in LHR plus maybe the BA and AA lounges.
Plan to spend most time in the CX F lounge.
We then have about 4 1/2 hour layover in HKG and want to do a bit of a lounge hop and was after thoughts on which lounges to visit and in what order. I understand there can be a bit of a walk depending on which gate we depart from. We will have access to the CX Flounges as we are flying F in to HKG. Thank you 🙏.
CX Pier First is the best. Migrate to whatever lounge is closest to your departure gate.

Flying JQ on QF code out of BKK as a QF wp. I believe no lounge access in this case, is this correct?

Ìn 4 days' time I will be transitting Doha on Qatar In J. Never been to Doha airport before
I believe I can acccess botj the Garden, at
In J you can access Al Mourjan lounge. It's a huge airport. Find the large teddy bear, then the escalator will be just nearby and eligibility will be checked before you can go up. I've just seen your amended post. There's a new Al Mourjan or is this the Emerald lounge for non J members?. Thanks google. A new lounge. It looks good too. I'd go for the lounge nearest boarding gate.

I believe I can acccess both the new Al Mourjan Business Lounge – The Garden and the Al Mourjan Business Lounge South which is on level 3 above Duty Free. I will be leaving on Qr 914 to Adl. Which is the more practical lounge to visit? I do liike the sound of the Garden and would like to visit if possible. Appreciate any insights for a Doha airport newbie!

Correct, you can access both. Both are really good. The newer garden lounge one seems to be a bit less busy. On my recent two trips through DOH coming back to PER, the departure gates have been closer to the garden lounge. Having said that, getting between the two lounges takes about 5 minutes using the internal train.

I find DOH airport to be really poorly signposted for the lounges. It really isn't that obvious (at least for a twit like myself) as to where the entrance to the garden lounge is. Right in the middle on the ground floor is big roped off area with some elevators. Lots of signage for the Louis Vuitton cage thingy. That's where you want to be. Enter there and they send you up in the elevator.

Also, just be aware that there is no toilet in the showers suites in that lounge. Minor annoyance but not a big deal. If you want a shower, go there straight away in case there is a wait list. Enjoy!

Asked at the miracle lounge just to see and they let me in, decent food and drinks selection but no bathrooms. Only stayed about 15 mins before it was time to board. YMMV

The miracle lounge had lavatories the last time was there.

Depends on which Miracle lounge we're talking about, I think.

If it's the "First Class" lounge close to the transfer desks, on the right towards the G gates, it's never had a bathroom IME. There's a public one a few meters further towards the gates, however. Still a bit of a pain.

I was in whichever one was near the spur with the info desk in the middle, between D, G, etc gates etc.

Maybe Miracle have opened more lounges.

Last time I was there were two lounges side by side with separate entrances, both facing South onto the D concourse .

"First" is to the West of the other. Lavatories are certainly in the "other". Jetstar travel IME only provides access to the "other".

Just want to check at SIN I'm aware theres the QF J, BA Business and QR Lounges. With a U QF award ticket, I'm able to visit all 3 right, however the only ones that I can guest a friend is QF J?

I'm quite interested in checking out the QR lounge since i hear it's quite good and status alone doesn't get you in. Current Status is SG. (i'll hit WP before anniversary so in future i'll probably check out QF F)

You can also take a guest into BA as per one world rules.
No guest in QR

There’s also the EK lounge that you can visit, and your status allows you to guest someone in there, as well…

My partner and myself are on U tickets flying back to MEL, but i have a couple of friends likely travelling on staff hence seeing where we could guest them as well and then Maybe ditching them to try QR.

Staff travel? They mightn’t even make the flight that day! 🤓 OK - for EK, you are both able to enter by way of the BPs alone, and then you can guest one more using your SG status. Maybe just stick to the OW options (and QR for J/F pax)

Hi. My wife and I have Star Alliance Gold Status with Air Canada. We have a trip with Singapore Airlines next year. I added our VA frequent flyer numbers to the booking instead of Air Canada as we want to earn status and points with VA instead.

Can we simply show our Air Canada gold status to access the lounge or do they need to be added to the booking?

No. Lounge and other status perks usually will be per the FF number on your boarding pass. But if you have status with VA, SQ may have a lounge for that anyway.

There is /was a trick where you get your boarding pass issued with the lounge accessible program and then go in and change the FF program on-line once you’re inside the lounge. But Airlines are cracking down on that and I’m not sure whether it’s possible with Star Alliance at all anyway.

The other option is to not put any FF status on your ticket, and claim the miles retrospectively.

According to the star alliance lounge page if your boarding pass does not show star alliance status you can enter the lounge by showing your boarding pass and FF Gold card. You’d need to make sure they don’t automatically enter it for you, but I’m not sure if that’s really a problem.
