Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Re: I'm in the QF Lounge thread

Asking for a friend...

My friend is flying to Hong Kong tomorrow on Cathay in J, connecting on to a SkyTeam carrier outbound, also in J.

She knows that she has SkyTeam lounge access in HKG (now they opened their own lounge in the old Qantas location), and i'm pretty sure the answer is no, but can an arriving Platinum use a Cathay lounge when the onwards isn't on OneWorld? I believe she's only entitled to use The Arrival so will have to use the SkyTeam lounge for 8 hours.

Anyone know what the lower age limit is for entry into the LAX QF/OW Lounges ?
Is it 21 as in the US bars or 18 ? I know that Admirals Clubs are 18.

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I'm Virgin gold and planning a trip to Singapore with the family. Will be booking through Virgin (flying on Singapore).

The rules on the website seem pretty clear - Gold Virgin members can only take in one guest, anyone have some real life experience on how they are with families? It will be me, my wife (guest) and Mr 4 yrs and Mr 18 months. Seems pointless to try if I cant take in the kids!

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Hey all - flying out of Auckland on Cathay flight in business - have OW sapphire. Can I guest into the Air NZ lounge, seeing as this is Cathay's designated lounge, it should operate as per any other partner lounge? Anyone had any experiences?

Cheers

I snagged an AA award seat PER-xSYD-AUH in EY F. I'll be travelling overnight from Perth and will then have 15 hours before the EY flight. As it's the one ticket I assume QF will check me through to AUH from Perth and issue boarding passes. However, the EY lounge doesn't open until the afternoon (and then I guess it closes again briefly after the first flight departs).

I don't suppose there's any lounge I'll have access to? If all else fails I will use the American Express lounge.

Well you'd be able to use the QF lounge in the domestic terminal on arrival.
I'm not certain QF will check you through, though.

I had breakfast in the QF SYD lounge then went over to T1. I used the Amex lounge until the EY lounge opened for the afternoon departure, then returned to Amex when that closed and then back to the EY lounge when it opened again (6.20pm) for the evening departure.

I might be over thinking this, but I thought I'd check with the gurus ...

QF-WP travelling SFO-LAX-YVR on AA numbers in Y, with the latter sector on AS metal. Four hour transit in LAX (1600-2000), apart from the AS lounge in T6 and presumably the AA lounge in T4, do I have access to either of the QF lounges in TBIT? (Expecting the answer to be no due to AS metal)

Thanks

Hi

I will be flying from LAX - SYD on the 1st Jan 16

Im holding platinum AA and priority pass
Any idea which the better lounge Should I visit?

Thank you

before i start booking my flights to the US this year (Most of July and a bit of August) who would offer the best/reasonably priced comfortable flight over there, including lounge access... if that makes sense.
we are looking to go direct to dallas from Sydney, or are there better ways... dont mind who we fly with, just need it to be comfortable... last time i went i spent the whole time on holidays feeling ill and sore due to the cramped conditions... never had that happen before on flights, as the longest i had been on before was 4 hours. If i am asking in the wrong place i am sorry... I am a total newbie in regards to travel forums...

thanks in advance

This is not the right place. This thread is concerned solely with lounge access.

Hello all!

Does anyone have any experiences accessing the SIN SilverKris lounge on arrival as a SQ J pax?

Access rules do have the word 'departing', but just curious what happens anecdotally...

Have a couple of hours to kill on Saturday morning while waiting for family on a later flight.

I recently got Skyteam Elite Plus status (from the Alitalia Status Match promo) and I'm not too familiar with Skyteam lounge access.

Would I have access to the Delta Club at JFK if flying to Canada? It seems that DL considers USA to Canada to be an international flight (as opposed to AA), but I would just like to know if anyone here has had lounge access in the US flying to Canada.

Found the answer the hard way.

It's a very Singapore "no". Not going to happen.

The only exception is PPS. In my dreams!

Really disappointing for premium pax who want to grab a shower after arriving at 05:30. I'm okay today because I don't have anywhere to be. But if I had a meeting this morning, it would be really frustrating. Particularly when hotel check-in won't be until at least midday.

Okay, rant over.

Gold Status Avianca

I have Gold Status with Avianca (member of Star Alliance Group) Will this allow me to use the lounge when flying out of Sydney on a Thai Airlines ticket:confused:??
