Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Re: Gold Status Avianca

Arriving in HKG on BA31 in F. Next flight is CX J. Am I able to access The Wing CX F lounge? TIA.

This might apply:

Connecting between oneworld marketed and operated flights:
  • First and Business Class customers connecting on the same day of travel, or before 6am the following day, can access the lounge when travelling between an international long haul (a oneworld international long haul flight is defined as an international flight marketed and operated by any oneworld carrier with a scheduled flight time longer than 5 hours) and an international short haul or domestic flight (and vice-versa).
  • Lounge access will be determined on the international long haul ticketed flight (either First of Business Class) regardless of the ticketed class of travel on the international short haul or domestic flight.
  • You must be prepared to show your boarding pass or itinerary showing travel in First or Business class on the international long haul flight, in order to access the lounge before your international short haul or domestic flight.

Accessing SKL in LHR would be fine on departure if you have *G, but no arrivals access for SQ pax at any port AFAIK. Doesn't hurt to try though! I was denied in SIN, but they may be more lenient/less aware at an outstation.
Just came across this post from CE a few months back.

I guess it depends on the agent you meet at the door and if they are fully aware of the arrival rules for R/F customers.

Thanx, I had a vague feeling about this but thought it may have been airline specific rather than OW specific. In other words, I thought both flights had to be on the same carrier, but not. :D

If the BA sector is long-haul (which it will be), and you are connecting to a short-haul CX (or any oneworld) flight, the long haul BA flight determines lounge access (as per the rules which have subsequently been referred to above).

Some airlines have more generous rules than the official oneworld rules.

hi there, we arrive in LAX on QF 15 (approx 0630) from BNE 16/3. we are looking at an onward flight to ABQ at either 0843 or 1340 that day (16/3).

I am wondering if there is still the lounge upstairs in T4. both of the onward flights to ABQ are on AA and depart from T4 (after a short bus ride). I am tossing up whether to go for the 0843 flight or spend a few hrs in the lounge at get the 1340 flight. Spending a few hrs means a shower, nap etc.

Is it still possible to use the T4 AA lounge for this purpose. I am a QFF WP. While have my spouse with me. Its been quite a few years since I have travelled through LAX, so I appreciate things may have changed.

thanks in advance for help.

Re: Gold Status Avianca

Thanx, only OWS.
If arriving from LHR in First then you should have same day access to the CX First product in HKG.

Where is your CX J flight to?

I'm flying in J PER-MEL soon with Virgin. I'm a Silver member, and currently have 4 lounge passes on my velocity account. Anyone know if I am allowed to bring a non-traveling guest with me in to the lounge, possibly by using one of my passes? It's the 'non-traveling guest' part I keep reading conflicting information about.

You should have no trouble. Regardless of the class of travel (which gets you access as you are in J in this instance.) you can use a pass for a guest.

Thanks - you were right, they did my bat an eye lid and had no problems using one of my passes for my non-traveling guest :).

Hi all.
I have booked a rewards flight through Qantas, flying Brisbane\Hong-Kong in Business on a Qantas flight (QF), then connect to an Emirates flight to Bangkok in first class (EK).
I have QFF Platinum status, and i just want to know if I'm restricted to the Emirates lounge or is there any chance of using the Cathay first class lounge in Hong-Kong at all ?

in this case it will be the Emirates lounge. The Cathay lounge would only be if on a oneworld flight.

I believe you would also have access to the Qantas lounge if you so wished, but no other oneworld airline lounges.

Just did YVR Pushka. The only way to get lounge access is via Priority Pass. I brought my card, hubby's was at home so we made do with Starbucks.
YVR is one of those ports like YYZ with pre-entry to the USA. Separate terminal, TSA before you board your flight. Once you get through all the hurdles there's a "Welcome to America" sign type thing which is bizarre as you are definitely still in Richmond BC.
To answer your other questions
HNL- no idea EDIT: No lounge access for domestic flights
SEA- no access
YVR- no access
LAX- Flagship
HNL- QF or JL/AA lounge
