Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

I'm researching lounge options for an upcoming trip and have found something I think is rather strange on OW lounge locator.

For LHR there are a range of lounge options listed, but the last one is the Skyteam lounge. Screenshot below. This makes no sense to me.

Is this an error, or does someone know an explanation?

As per the description, the QR lounge is for first and business class only. The Skyteam lounge handles status pax, although first and business are welcome to use the skyteam lounge if they wish.

Lounge angel in AA T4 lounge entry - International First Class AA "Flagship" lounge allows OWE +2 guests

Presented to desk with Mrs QS and Master QS after our transpacific QF94 (MEL-LAX) with onward AA F domestic flights.
I had F BP (actually J to F upgrade at the gate - "beep" "Ah Mr QS we just have to replace your boarding pass")
Mrs QS and Mst QS had a U BP each

Ordinarily OW Emerald can take in +1 guest
However the Lounge Angel made a rare exception - she telephoned to her associate in the International First Class Lounge to let us.

In case anyone was wondering, there was indeed no lounge access available in WLG last night, flying SQ's WLG-CBR flight as VA Gold.

Makes you wonder what the point of Velocity is when you can't use the lounge flying one of Virgin's main partner airlines....

If my attempt ends up being the first "test case" on AFF ... I'll be happy to post the outcome on the 10th Jan 2017.

Thanks to MEL_T and TV in trying to decipher the clause.

Happy to post the four of us are currently enjoying the JL F HND lounge.

The agent at checkin went to the trouble of advising I could only guest one in the F lounge - I thanked her and continued to the lounge.

The lounge agent repeated the same ... I pointed out that we are connecting to a BA F flight - Boom!

Please enjoy the First lounge

I am little confused with Qantas Club access when flying international economy with QF, as a Bronze FF (soon to be silver) with Qantas Club membership can I access the BNE QC and Hong Kong Qantas Clubs ?

Cheers
Dave.

Does SQ enforce the one guest only policy for VA golds?

Background:

Flying MEL-CDG return, via PER and SIN, in late July/August with partner and infant, on a VA ticket, on a mix of VA and SQ metal. Partner is VA gold and I'm red (I pool SC's to partner). Would like to know if all of us can get into the PER and SIN SQ lounges. I realise there is no lounge access in CDG via VA or SQ - hopefully Priority Pass will take care of that. Thanks.

Quick question to the sages here on AFF.

My wife and I am flying QF next month (CFS-SYD-DUB-MAD-DUB-SIN-SYD-CFS) with several stopovers included. All flights are QF flight numbers so I'm assuming lounge entry(s) shouldn't be a problem. Our eldest (adult) daughter has now decided to come with us. I have found the same flights as our so the booking was no problem. My question is how to get her into the lounges. In the past I have just requested benevolence from a random QP member and got a daughter into a lounge as a guest. I'm thinking maybe I should purchase either a guest, or partner QP membership for my wife. Any thoughts as to what would be best?

Many thanks in advance.

Flying Malaysian Airlines (1 ticket via QF redemption, the other a paid MH ticket) in J, assuming I have access to international Perth J lounge? If so, what time does it close at night please? MH flight doesn't leave til 2.20am, thank you.

It sounds like you're flying Y and have a Qantas Club membership, in which case there will be no lounge access in MAD as you will not be travelling on a oneworld marketed and operated flight. If you're referring to the QF throwaway guest passes that come with credit cards and the like, that will also be of no use to you in DXB as the lounge is not operated by Qantas. It would be good in SIN, however.

The QF lounge is officially used for MH departures so it will stay open until that flight is called. You can check the QF website for each individual lounge's opening hours, though.

Qantas Club membership... as you will not be travelling on a oneworld marketed and operated flight.

Must be flying on a QF, JQ or AA flight number only + a Qantas or associated lounge (or AA lounge if on AA). So this probably rules out DUB as well (unless OP means DXB rather than DUB, in which case they have access to the Emirates Lounge in DXB)

You could however be flying on a Qantas flight number operated by a non OW airline (Fiji Airways for example) and you still get access.

Apologies, ozimax. I have got my rules mixed up. Regardless, with only a Qantas Club membership, you will have no lounge access in MAD.

Hello,
First time poster here
I was hoping someone could help me as Iberia are not helpful at all with answering this.
Next month i am flying from ORY to ROM in business class on flight IB5006 it was booked through Iberia but it is operated by Vueling. What i want to know is if i am able to access the Iberia business lounge in ORY as it is booked through IB or not because the flight is operated by Vueling.
Any feedback is very much appreciated

Kylie

Re: Lounge access

Welcome to AFF. Remember to post questions in one thread, or the other :)

If it has an IB flight number, you should be OK into the Iberia lounge.

Hi Kylie
That shouldn't be a problem.
Business Class ticket on Iberia group airline will get you lounge access at ORY

It's confusing - IB's lounge access page excludes Vueling as part of the IB group: Airport VIP lounges - Iberia , although that same page does reference IB marketed flights operated by non OneWorld airlines (in this case Vueling) as having lounge access for IB status members (but not specifically for business class).

I also googled the question and found some results on Flyertalk - but I think that was mainly based on status, with some saying they had success with an IB flight in the 5000 range, others saying they were denied entry also on the same 5000 range IB coded flights.

Sorry, yes it should be DXB.

Thanks for your help
It is extrenely confusing how its worded. I have read it about 50 times and still cant quite understand it.
When i messaged Iberia the response i got was this
"Hello, if you travel in business, we do not anticipate that it is not possible :) Regards." Which threw more confusion into the mix.
