Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Thanks for your help
It is extrenely confusing how its worded. I have read it about 50 times and still cant quite understand it.
When i messaged Iberia the response i got was this
"Hello, if you travel in business, we do not anticipate that it is not possible :) Regards." Which threw more confusion into the mix.

And part of the complication is that Vueling doesn't offer business class. So I'm not sure what will show on the boarding pass?

Hi to all the lounge experts!

My wife and her bestie are flying PER-LHR via DXB and return in April. My wife is a QP member. Tickets purchased through QF website, PER to LHR are both EK metal with QF codeshare flight numbers. Return LHR to DXB is QF metal and DXB to PER again on EK metal with QF codeshare flight number.

My wife is eager to know what lounge access she will have in PER, DXB and LHR? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

That would be QF, EK J and AA

American Airlines Lounge entry

I am travelling USA Domestic and I am led to believe that when travelling in F (or J) as they now call it, you do not get entry to the lounge, however I have also been told that because both of us are QF SG (Sapphire) I will have access because of my status.

Can anybody please confirm wether or not I can get lounge access at both LAX and SEA.

Thanks

p.s booked and paid through AA and AA flight numbers and metal

Re: American Airlines Lounge entry

You will have access based on your OWS status

Thanks Tom, I remember having access before but couldn't remember how I had it. LAX wont be too bad because I will only have a short time but my wait at SEA will be about 3 hours+ and didn't want to sit out in the general concourse

Re: American Airlines Lounge entry

So here's my next problem.
My QF SG expires end of Sept 2017 and I wont re-qual as SG. Down to PS.
My Flight SEA-LAX is on 30th Sept which will be 1st Oct here in AU

So, on 30th Sept USA time will I still be SG or will I have dropped to PS allready

Re: American Airlines Lounge entry

Moot point as AA have no lounge at SEA.Admirals club members get access to the Alaska lounge. If on a QF codeshare you may get Alaska lounge entry but as you are on AA metal likely to be refused.
If your SG card shows expiry date as 30/9/2017 you would have got in to an AA lounge.

Well...thanks. That taken the wind out of my sails. Flight was originally a code share on AS with AS flight no (so I would have been ok) but just yesterday AA advise me of a flight change and on enquiring was told that my original flight was no longer code share and I had to change to an AA flight and flight number

At PDX last September the rules were that OWE/OWS travelling on AA flight number and metal were allowed access to the Alaska lounge if travelling on a non discounted fare code. So Y, J or F were allowed entry but not A or any of the other discounted codes. The lounge attendant had a laminated sheet cross referencing all the AA, OW and AS elite statuses against fare codes and whether entry was allowed or not.

Re: American Airlines Lounge entry

As I said give it a try.We have got entry once and denied once at SEA.the denial was the last time.

Thanks to the last 2 posters, Anna & drron. I will front up and give it a go, as I said I have nearly 4 hours wait so somewhere comfortable and out of the crowds will be nice. Anna I do have full fares, started out when first booked as F but with the recent flight change and AA's recent change on domestic first class it is now shown as a J fare

Re: American Airlines Lounge entry

Anna I do have full fare

You'll have to check your fare bucket. I have no idea sorry. I'm in the US right now and AA are still calling their dom cabins first class and coach on a 2 class flight even though the SC earn has changed. If you've booked F I would expect you will still be in F, just not earning F SCs any more and earning J SCs instead.

Re: American Airlines Lounge entry

My understanding was while (for 2 class domestic aircraft) the F class fares would now gain points/SCs at the J rate, AA would continue to badge the class as F.

Re: American Airlines Lounge entry

Hi All

I am in Singapore and flying out of T2 on a Malaysian (One World) ticket to KL. Then from KL to Kuta Kinabalu this afternoon.

I am a Gold Quantas FF so One World Sapphire.
Can I use the Malaysian lounge in Singapore and KL (Although only there for 1 hr so doubt I will get chance to use the KL one)
Singapore is operated by SATS according to the Changi web site.

Any info appreciated.

Hi Everyone,

I've got a pretty basic question regarding lounges (only flown J once before) - I'm currently in the dnata lounge at Singapore flying Cathay J to HKG in a few hours, but I'd like to move to the QF lounge when it opens soon. Am I allowed more than one entry into a lounge? I would have thought so, but I was given an access invitation at Check-in which they took from me when I came in, so just wanted to make sure before I accidentally lock myself out of either one :)

Thanks!

Only if you have OW status... sapphire or above.

you can visit as many lounges as you like. You can visit the qantas lounge based on your class of service... Cathy J = entry.
