Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

I think the deal breaker is that Etihad now charges for all food and drink outside mealtimes. The meals have gone the same way as Qantas economy - just one small plate with a bread roll. No salads or anything else. You get tea and coffee and an alcoholic beverage with the meal. After that, even a cup of coffee or water you need to pay for.

Plus with Qatar you get first class lounges.

I’m flying out of LHR to HEL on AY with Mrs Lambchop and 2 kids. I’m WP. Do we all get access to the QF lounge in LHR? We have always benefited from the Qantas child access rules before when flying out of LHR on QF metal and/or flight numbers, but wasn’t sure if that also applied if travelling on an AY (or other OW) flight number (not QF codeshare).
thanks

Technically you are only entitled to one guest (no child allowance) when entering under Oneworld rules, however the QF lounge are known to make exceptions for their own FFs if you ask nicely.

Was able to request to credit my Air NZ flight to Asiana (OZ), whilst getting United (UA*G) printed on the boarding pass at Sydney Airport at check-in last week. This meant no problem getting though the express lane and into the lounge, and having the flight credited to a program with no status.

However, travelling from Rome to London via Zurich with Swiss over Easter, I had to change the FF number on the booking to UA at check-in to receive the benefits. Luckily I was able to change both segments back to OZ whilst in transit at the transfer desk in Zurich for the same effect, as the boarding passes had already been printed.

Hopefully helpful for those taking advantage of the lounge benefits from United's status match whilst transitioning to a lower-requirements program to retain status i.e Asiana, Turkish, Agean etc....

Purchased a J reward (using QFF points) on QR metal
Flying MEL > DOH > CDG and then MUC > DOH > SIN

I have no status.
Am I eligible to enter any lounge I would otherwise eligible to enter if I was on a purchased J QF ticket, or a purchased J QR ticket? Or either?

Lounges as per purchased QR J ticket. So OW lounges at MEL, but not EK.

Only OW J lounge at MEL T2 is QF J one, in the basement.
If you get offered Maharba go for that...
If you get offered QF J lounge, and no Maharba, (look for the Air NZ/SQ KF lounge signage), the QF J lounge is next to the SQ KF lounge, use escalators down from gate 10 area.
Maharba is escalator up from gate 10.
QF J lounge at MEL T2 is the pits, you get food but no outside views.
Maharba is the former EK lounge, so a bit better.
Lounges are a longish walk from outgoing immi.
If you depart gate 18, give it some time to get to from lounges.

Apologies if this has been covered but I can't find any recent answers when I search.
I arrive in BNE on EK F from Dubai. A few hors later I have a domestic flight in QF Y booked separately and linked to my BA FF number I am EK Gold and BA Silver (OW Sapphire).

Am I allowed to access the domestic business lounge on the basis of my arrival in EK F? I have a feeling that used to be the case but I don't find the way the information is now presented on the QF website at all helpful.

If not I'm pretty sure that I can access the Qantas Club on the basis of my BA or EK status.

Thanks in advance.

Current Qantas policy is that lounge access eligibility depends on your NEXT flight.
They are ignoring OneWorld rules about your incoming flight so I imagine they will ignore any similar EK agreement rules as well.
So you may have to put up with the Qantas Club!

Thanks.
After coming through from London all I am after is somewhere reasonably comfortable to sit, a shower and coffee. I will ask at the lounge entrance but won't be pushing for anything.

Just received a reply after messaging QF (6 hours ago):

'Thanks for getting in touch. Only Qantas business class passengers, Qantas Club, Gold and Platinum Frequent Flyers currently have access into Brisbane Domestic Business Lounge: https://bit.ly/38uq4Mn.'

Pretty sure that is wrong as I'm pretty sure OW Emerald members and (probably EK Plats) get access as well. I also that thought Qantas Club members got access to the Qantas Club not Business lounge?

You're right. Its wrong.
For a start Qantas Gold Frequent Flyers do NOT have access to domestic business lounges!
And I don't think Qantas Club members do either, as you suggest.
Also from the page they sent you a link to:

Unhelpfully it doesn't distinguish between the two lounges but we know OWEs have access to domestic business lounges.

The relevant page from EK is more informative but disappointing for you:

So your entitlement as EK Gold is the same as your entitlement as OWS.
Qantas Club but not Domestic Business Lounge.

I would still try at the lounge desk based on your boarding pass from DXB.
What do you have to lose?
They can only say no!

I thought that I understood the eligibility based on FF status although the Qantas website unhelpfully doesn't specify which lounges different levels of OW of EK FF schemes can access which lounges. I wonder if the page was meant to have more functionality than it has - possibly a link to details if you clicked on the green tick??

As you say I have nothing to lose by asking on the basis of my incoming EK flight (I'm betting they say no though)!
