Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Thanks to @geoffro_22 and @sudoer. They will work it out for when they go to Lord Howe in a couple of weeks time. They gave up on getting in to QF First today as it looks like it was not allowable.

Hi Crew,

After some tips if possible.

heading to LAX in July and will be taking wife & 2 kids (10 & 5) and wondering best airlines to travel which will allow me access to their lounge with kids as well.

Gold Qantas
Platinum VA
Platinum Qatar
Gold Singapore

any airline is fine with me if I can access with kids.

Any help appreciated

Thank you!

The only way to guarantee such lounge access is for two of you to have the required status.

oneworld rules state one guest. Some airlines have various rule in relation to accompanying children of various ages, but these do not always apply to oneworld based access.

Hi Just checking that this is still the case MEL>NAN J Awards so FJ#. Have OWE and QP.

Assuming your travel is soon, then it would be a yes, regardless of your status and if travelling in J, as the SYD INT J Lounge is closed, and people are being welcomed at the F lounge for now, instead. Even when both lounges are operating, FJ is now a oneworld connect member, and QF WP should get you into the F lounge even on a Y ticket. The only thing you might need to watch out for is guests, if you are not all flying J. I recall we had trouble as WP flying Y even with a young child (4-5 years old) coming in as an 'additional' guest to my wife.

Cheers,
Matt.

Thanks Matt. Just to clarify, my Emerald status is not with QF.

You should still be ok for best available lounge, per the oneworld connect membership, for any QF or FJ flight, travelling as a OWE. Again, guesting may be tricky if it's more than 1 guest, and they are not also in J

Thanks. Fellow pax is in J and OWS.

I'm travelling on JQ7 (MEL-SIN) in J on a QF Classic Award. I'm connecting on QF domestic in J on a QF Classic Award and then connecting to AY in J on a QF Classic Award. This is all on one PNR.

Does this qualify for lounge access? (I know it's only the Max Bundle that qualifies, but I don't know if this is "equivalent".) If not, can I link a complimentary QF lounge pass to the booking?

Your domestic flight and AY flight both qualify. Your JQ flight does not, unless you have Qantas Club membership of Qantas Gold FF status or higher.

If none of those apply to you then a good idea to link a lounge pass... provided it's after 27 March when the QF business class lounge reopens.

You would not qualify under any oneworld rules as JQ is not part of OW (even if they were it still wouldn't qualify as there's no long-haul connecting to short-haul or vv)

Thanks for the information.

I tried to link it before I posted, but the only lounge that comes up when I type in Melbourne is the Qantas Club in the domestic terminal. I've never travelled internationally with Jetstar before, so I didn't know what the rules were. I thought I'd best establish that before I tried to do something which I couldn't do at all. I'll wait until next week when the lounge is open and see if it works then.

Hi All, long time no posting as no flying :-(

Any ideas for Barcelona flying Air France but on JAL ticket (OWE)

JL5318 Operated by AIR FRANCE

All 3 ONEWORLD lounges look like third party

AENA - Colomer Lounge

AENA Joan Miro Lounge

AENA Pau Casals Lounge

Skyteam: SALA VIP Pau Casals

Unless you are in J, then I'm afraid the answer is not likely to be favourable...

JAL's own tier members might get access for JL codeshare on AF (like QF elites getting access to the EK lounges), but the oneworld lounge access policy would apply here, for you, and this requires the flight to be both marketed and operated by a oneworld member for access to be given to whichever lounge they choose or use.

I'd still be asking at check-in with an excited look... but keep the expectations down. Got a Priority Pass or something like that as a back-up, perhaps? Most of the lounges you reference at BCN T1 are PP lounges, as well.

Cheers,
Matt.

Hi everyone

First post here! Hoping someone can help.

I booked a business class flight with Qatar Airways from Brisbane to Doha at the end of May (with Qantas points). The flight is at 22:40. Is there any lounge I can use at the Brisbane International Terminal before this flight?

If it makes any difference, I also have a Qantas Club membership. I read that I might not be able to make use of Qantas Club Lounge because it is not a QF or Jetstar flight, is that correct? Likewise if I have any lounge invitations, they are no good to me either because not QF or Jetstar flight? Have I understood correctly?

I have the same question for the beginning of May.

It looks like the Qantas Brisbane international lounge currently closes after the last QF flight of the day, which is at 10am?! Pre-pandemic, that would've been the lounge for all oneworld departures the entire day.

The Qantas Club (and domestic business lounge for that matter) are over in the domestic terminal.

Welocme to AFF.

Qantas lounge invitations generally require a QF or Jetstar flight.

QF15 to LAX is operating at 8:30pm from 24 May, what day of the week is your QR flight. Note that even then the QF lounge would close upon QF15 boarding.
