Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Welocme to AFF.

Qantas lounge invitations generally require a QF or Jetstar flight.

QF15 to LAX is operating at 8:30pm from 24 May, what day of the week is your QR flight. Note that even then the QF lounge would close upon QF15 boarding.
Flight is at 10:40PM so it looks like there is a good chance the QF International Business Lounge in Brisbane will be closed, and the only option might be the Plaza Premium if Qatar arranges that?

I gave Qatar a call and they said no lounge access at all in BNE right now. Not sure if vouchers offered, or what else is even open. 😕

In June I'll be flying into and out of Cairo on a QF flight number on EK metal - does QFF Gold get me into the Emirates Lounge in Cairo (and when transiting through Dubai) in those circumstances? I believe that Cairo International has improved a lot since the old days when flying out of it could be compared to the fall of Saigon, but a shower in the lounge before departing would be nice given Cairo's temperatures in June.
Moving this question to here at Danger's suggestion.

I'm flying MEL-DXB-CAI and return on EK metal on a QF flight number, I'm QFF Gold. The Emirates Cairo lounge has reopened, it seems that my QFF Gold gets me access to the lounge even though I'm on a QF ticket/flight number - but can I guest someone in who is travelling with me on the same ticket but has no status?

Hi,

I have a friend flying business class Finnair from Helsinki to Singapore next week. From there she connects to an economy JQ flight to Melbourne. I was going to link a lounge invite to that JQ flight but perhaps she can use the lounge in Singapore just because she is arriving on Finnair business class? Will the incoming boarding pass allow her entry?

Walter---

Unfortunately not… inbound business class does not give lounge access in this case, and there are no oneworld arrivals lounges in Singapore either.

Hi

Quick question, I have a QF codeshare flight NOU - SYD and can’t find information if I have lounge access to the SB Lounge at NOU.
I’m QFF gold an the ticket was booked under QF flight number.

The Qantas homepage only states the lounge rules in SYD and BNE.

The Oneworld website includes the AirCalin Hibiscus Lounge for J PAX, OWE and OWS travelling with QF. So you should be ok on QF code. Others may have more precise experience. I was there a while back but flying J on QF metal/QF code.

Ai, so now I try and link the invitation to the JQ flight departing Singapore and the first question is Departure Lounge Location, and Singapore is not an option. Can invitations only be used in Australia??? And she has a Melbourne Devonport connection that is rather tight, I don't want to waste an invitation on the off chance she misses her flight. And sure enough, her Qantaslink MEL-DPO doesn't show up to get linked with an invitation. Her Helsinki-DPO ticket was booked with Finnair and she used her QFF number. I called Qantas Singapore but they told me to contact Finnair - they have no idea about electronic lounge passes on Qantas accounts of course...

I don’t think the Lounge in SIN is accepting passes just now. The F Lounge is still closed so everyone is using the J lounge.

Lounge access for SYD & HNL flying HA

Hi All,
My husband and I are travelling HA in 3 weeks time and are finding info on lounges a little hard.
We are flying economy 😔, well extra comfort and are both platinum with VA plus gold with NZ and QR. Does anyone know if we have lounge access in SYD and HNL?
Thanks in advance

I hate to say it, but pretty unlikely. HA use Plaza Premium lounge in SYD which has no affiliation with VA, NZ, QR, etc as it's completely independent. And whilst they have their own lounge in HNL, HA don't have any partnerships with VA, NZ, QR, etc.

Thanks ... I thought this might be the case.

Hi

I'm flying with SQ to Heathrow for the first time - we're in Business Brisbane to Singapore and then Suites to London - we have three hours in Singapore - do we get access to a lounge in Singapore to take a shower etc

thanks

Peter

You sure do. Actually, I am writing this from the SQ lounge in Singapore.

There is a cordoned off area reserved for first class passengers within the business lounge. Based on your onward travel you will get access to the first class area.

When we have awards in suites or F we get into the TPR in SIN. Not sure when it is reopening.
