Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

I'm using the Sama Sama express lounge tomorrow [C5] via priority pass (VA WP give no lounge at KUL when in economy on SQ(.
Great! Let me know what you think. The last time I was there, I had the entire Sphere lounge to myself. Food was slow but yummy so worth the wait. I only go there if I’m on onward dom flight, otherwise my preferred choice is still MH F lounge.
Well, that didn't occur - I used *G check in and agent became confused with the printed BP's, made a call, then some typing away and a new BP was produced giving Plaza Premium access. Possibly wrong, but I didn't say no.

Does DPS really have no Priority Pass or Plaza Premium lounge access at the international departure terminal?

Sorry... LHR-KUL-MEL-KUL-LHR
A couple more bits of info needed: What airline, what class of travel, and what status do you have?

There is a snooze room in the MH F lounge that is available. Your post doesn't specify, so access to the F lounge is assuming you are flying MH and OWE/QFWP. In the past I have been able to access the lounge with a 9-10 hour layover. (Although on one occasion the front desk said I couldn't enter until the day of travel, so I had to cool my heels until 12.01am!)

If you are OWS/QFSG or no status and travelling in J then you should have access to the J lounge which has showers but no snooze room. I am not sure if the J lounge closes overnight, so you might be kicked out.

Edit: according to oneworld.com it looks like the F lounge is closed, and the J lounge closes between midnight and 0500. So you will need to find somewhere to spend the night.

Just noting that the MH Golden Lounge (KUL) Platinum Lounge re-opened in July last year. Unless it's closed again recently for some reason, I'd suggest maybe the oneworld page is just not up to date.

Here's the press release from last year: Indulge in Premium Service Offerings with the Reopening of Malaysia Airlines’ Platinum Lounge at KL International Airport

Cheers,
Matt.

I’m based in NZ. I want to visit my brother who lives in Canberra. I’m planning on flying J. On the way home I’d like to fly CBA-SYD-AKL. When I try and book a J ticket Qantas tells me the CBA-SYD flight will be in economy because the plane is a Q400. That’s fine but as I’m on a J ticket will I get lounge access in CBA?

This might be a silly question, but its a bit of a once bitten, twice shy wariness.
We (family of 5) are flying out of MEL International this week. MrsRich has PC+ (and therefore QC/QB) so she should by rights be able to invite partner and 2 kids. So the plan is for child 3 to use a guest pass and the rest to get in on the pub membership. Does anyone foresee any issues at the lounge door for this? As I said, previously bitten (with the old paper guest passes that allowed kids - not that day it seemed).
I do have a few more guest passes at my disposal so I could hedge our bets, but I don't think I could unlink them on the day and don't want to waste them, as I occasionally travel domestically alone.

Are any of the kids 3 or under?

Lounge typeChild ageNumber of children
Qantas owned and operated lounge0 to 3 years
4 to 17 years
18 years +
Complimentary access
Complimentary access for up to 2 children
Adult guest

They do also say this, which may well be fine:
If you are travelling with more than two children to a Qantas owned and operated lounge, the Qantas lounge manager will try to accommodate them, subject to reviewing the space available.

No, all over 3 and under 18. Should be fine based on the above though, just nervous after the last time. The alternative that day was average food in a very busy and noisy T2 so it was a disappointment.
We can also go to the Amex lounge, but it doesn't look too great

If I want to guest a friend flying on the same flight (different PNR) into SYD Int J lounge do we need to arrive together, or can she call me once outside the lounge and I come out and ask that she be admitted as my guest?

I can shoot her a free lounge pass if needed but was thinking this isnt necessary.

I imagine I will get through security much quicker using priority lane as Im flying J where she is flying Y.

That’s fine for your friend to call you and to take her in later :)

HI all!
I'll be flying Qantas from Melbourne to Tokyo Haneda. Anyone has any experience or thoughts around which lounge should I visit for my travel? I do have Priority Pass allowing me access to The House and General Admission to Qantas International Lounge at Melbourne airport but has been to neither . Any tips would be appreciated TIA!

The qantas international lounge at MEL is pretty underwhelming. I’d skip it.

The J ticket/BP will give you Lounge and Fasttrack access. Check SkyTeam for best lounge option in LHR but you’ll get KLM lounge in AMS,
