Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Originally booked J but due to aircraft change, now only Y USM-SIN, (but J SIN-MEL) on QF #codeshare
I am SG, can we access the Blue Ribbon Lounge (Priority Pass) at Koh Samui?
That’s something you’d have to take up with the airline at check in in USM. It wouldn’t be covered by Oneworld lounge arrangements or eligibility criteria.

I’m pretty sure PG has a basic lounge, for free, open to all its passengers at USM. At least for domestic, dunno if it also includes international? It’ll have the basic soft drinks and snacks.

Thanks @MEL_Traveller
I will have original e-ticket so will see how we go at check-in. It's mostly for the aircon.

Hi Everyone - have an Emirates Dubai Business lounge question - If i am flying on an EK flight with QFF Gold i understand I can access the Emirates lounge in Dubai, however i would like to bring my partner who’s taking the same flight but on the QF code (there was a price difference by the time partner booked and chose the QF code of the same flight).

I keep re-reading the Qantas website rules and I can’t figure this one out. Can i bring my partner in, despite the differing codes for our same flight? Thanks!

To piggyback on this, does anyone know if these rules are spelt out somewhere? The only sources that spell out the rules are Point Hacks and ET, which aren't exactly definitive, and they don't mention anything about guest entitlements.

Hi both - answer is yes, to both - and it was discussed just a few posts up, on the previous page in this topic. Some wording is a little vague, but no suggestion it's intentionally vague; rather the view is a QF or EK status pax on an eligible QF or EK marketed flight would be able to bring a guest who is on the same flight (regardless of the carrier prefix).

See here: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/qantas...-partner-airlines/emirates.html#lounge-access
and here: https://www.qantas.com/au/en/qantas...ounge-access-eligibility.html#partner-lounges

Cheers,
Matt.

Thanks @dairyfloss
Just wasn’t sure what ‘same flight’ means and if prefixes would impact it.

Anyone know what the paid cost of accessing EK lounge at MEL is?

Flying in J on QF metal HKG-MEL in a few days. We redeemed points for the flight via QF.
I know we can enter the QF lounge in HKG, but I'm wondering if we can also enter the CX J lounges? Thanks in advance

edit: thanks for the response @RealtimeY

Why are you flying China Southern out of Doha?
Why not?
Plenty of Chinese prefer to fly with one of their own carriers plus the price would tempt many people. CZ is about $700 cheaper on a return trip in Y and in J less than half price of QR.

As to which lounge in DOH I’m sorry that I can’t help in that regard

Hi everyone, I know this is a long shot but I am flying with BA first (lax to lhr) arriving into Heathrow at 2pm, then flying out of same terminal next day at 11.40 (lhr to ams) but economy. With one world lounge access rules I think I can't get into first based on next day departure after 6am. Anyone thinks I can luck out and they let me through ? I would love to visit the first Concord room. Both flights ticketed separately. I am staying at an airport hotel overnight.

Unfortunately not. Consider buying a new ticket to AMS in the evening and overnighting at AMS rather than LHR? You’d get the concorde room in that case.

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread - but have a CX booking SYD to HKG in J and then F to CDG.

CX don’t have F from SYD. As the next flight is F, same day and Oneworld, can I access the F lounge in Sydney

No, needs to be next onward flight.

OneWorld has some minor exemptions to that relating to short-haul connections to a higher class, however having airlines honour those rules is hit and miss. In any event, SYD-HKG is not short haul, so status and class of service on that leg will determine SYD lounge access.
