Macquarie Visa Platinum - 40,000 points for $5000 spend - $99 1st Yr Fee

I have had the monthly points post fine - will call up for the bonuses today

first 20k bonus points due a couple of weeks ago (first purchase 12 Sep),no sign of them.
Called to chase them today.....agreed the points are now due, and have 'escalated'

2 further calls to chase up (including drilling down on their 'escalation' process, once they again said it would be escalated.
A call back today (yes - they called me!) saying Mac have instructed QF to apply the first 20k points.....should see them in the next 5 Business Days.....shall watch with eagle eyes...

Interesting that my T and C's said the second 20k points (for $5k spend) would post by 31 Jan, but the flustered call centre person today advised they would post within 60 days of reaching the $5k....

Got the first 20,000 points in the account the other day. And put a payment thought the ATO and got the points for that as well. So all good.

I actually read the T&C's and I thought that "government charges" were ineligible?

The 20,000 came in with in the month.

I'm not sure what the rules say but the points came in for it.

I finally received a call back regarding my first 20K points today advising that the points will be loaded within 5 days but when I checked QFF, it's already there! They certainly took their time though, my card was activated on 30Sep13 and I had two calls escalated. I suspect there will be a L-O-N-G wait and further escalations for the next 20K as they can't really tell me when I will receive that either.

Good Lord, a quick log into QF.com and the second 20k have now posted as well.(First lot narrated as Jetstar Platinum Card bonus...)
Sweet.Now to cancel the card

And now my 2 x QF lounge passes have just shown up (with no QF spend).

So for this little black duck, Macquarie have met all their obligations without too much fuss.
The only thing I can't get them to do right is change from physical address to a postal address. Just never seems to stick.
