Interesting, will try it next week.
It is a ten minute treatment - sometimes extended a little. The actual treatment is okay but the general reception and "attitude" in the relevant lounge combined to make me decide to give it all a miss on recent visits.
As always, YMMV. :)

Ah:) It warms the heart to hear that the service standards at Heathrow (and London in general) have kept up to their usual high standards of friendliness and willingness to assist the traveller.

My experiences are a bit better with this service. First time I used it there was a pretty hard upsell but all subsequent visits have been fine. It's no SYD/MEL F Spa but the facial (Dermalogica) products is fine.

Hi all, I'm looking at flying EK F from SYD to AKL (under a QF flight number) so I'm assuming I get access to the Flounge. My question is, since the flight leaves at 7:50, could I actually get anything out of the lounge? I believe it opens at 5 or 6am, but is everything up and running before 8am?

I had this two days ago.

Plane was delayed for 60 min so it was more leisurely than usual.

Full breakfast menu was available.

But no, I had no 'bubbles', only a cheap cappuccino.

Thanks for the comments. I figured the flight from Dubai would often be delayed?
What time did you get to the lounge? Massage?
I'd feel uncomfortable having bubbles that early in the morning, but if it's free (well, once you pay for the ticket)... :)

I always have bubbles with my breakfast in the lounge, although I do have a quick look around hoping to see other people drinking, so I don't feel quite so bad :) It is not a time of day when I would normally drink, but I figure when you are travelling all that goes out the window.

Massage room was closed / unattended when I left at ~ 8:30am.

I arrived at 07:00 so the breakfast was not rushed and quite enjoyable.

The plane delay allowed me to peruse the SMH in full.

But, bubbles or not, it's worth sampling the shower room just 'for the sake of its availability'

Ah well, I guess that can be made up for with the massage function in the seats. :) Did you return to via EK F? If so, what's the Auckland QF/EK F lounge like?

I was simply refused service last month; I was travelling QF F and I had received an email from BA inviting me to make a booking, which I did and got the confirmation number. When I get there I was told there is no such thing. The receptionist even told me later she had spoken with a supervisor who confirmed the complimentary spa is only available to BA passengers, not QF. I was not impressed at all, but I drowned my sorrow in a number of bigger-than-usual shots of JW Blue :-)

It's never too early for bubbles when you are travelling ;)

So envious of you lot what can get to do this F travels regularly.
Despite what one of our colleagues wrote on another message, I have not as yet flow the QF/EK 380 in any class, EK 777 yes once in Y and another in J.
My most likely 380 F experience/flight will be in Dec this year.

Which Spa did you make an appointment for ? I'm a bit confused at BA emailing a QF passenger as BA do not have a Spa in T3. It closed a couple of years ago.

You might, I don't. One or two glasses is perfectly socially acceptable IMO (but i'm not that classy). Plus remember you should be adjusting to destination time, which is way closer to Lunchtime!!

I was travelling from MEL to KHR and then onto mainland Europe. I arrived in T3 (QF F) and my connecting flight was from T5 (BA J). I was on a USDM-issued ticket. About a week before the flight I received an email from BA with the headline "Pre-flight services email". The first item in the email was "Request a Spa treatment--As a First passenger you can pre-book an appointment at The Elemis Spa before you travel.--Spoil yourself before you fly. Spas are available in Terminal 3 and Terminal 5.--To book an appointment please call: 0800 408 7667 from inside the UK, or +44 161 448 3013 from outside."

I called the number and I was told I was not eligible. I called it again a couple of days later and the reservation was taken and a confirmation number was provided. The outcome was described above.
