Malaysian Airlines QFF earn table

The first step of the claim process is for them to come back and say it has been creditted to another FF program :cool:

You can skip that step if you don't do an online claim and just contact FF via email with copies of your BPs (for Z Class flights).

Agree 100%. I'm 0/2 for auto-posting Z-Class, the last about 6 weeks ago. Be prepared to be asked to also send in a copy of your Itinerary/Receipt, too.

Regards,

BD

Any experiences on how long points for a MH flight take to come through to QFF?
Some flights did not post properly the first time I used MH in February. Last time around in April everything posted OK within a week.

A booking next month is Z class so would be interesting to see if they post automatically or whether I will need to follow up.

Can someone please confirm that the "MH Basic" fares do not earn any QFF points/SCs? A "MH Smart" fare is required for Discount Economy earn rate?

You should double check if the MH fare earns on QFF as I tend to find the cheapest fare on MH (MH Basic doesn't book into a QFF earning fare). Just took a look at QFF earning fares (MH Smart or higher) and it looks like it's similar pricing to QF if not more expensive.

Found for $2k per pax PER-SIN-DXB-LGW-DXB-PER earning 80SC outbound and 60SC inbound. QF to SIN and then EK metal from SIN onwards.

If you're looking at booking a MH Basic fare on the MH website, make a dummy booking and the summary page before you put in all the traveler details should have a link to Fare rules in the top right of the table which will tell you the fare class.

You need to be looking at the fare class which would be the first letter of the fare code. It's located after the city pair in parentheses on the fare details window up near the top.

If the first letter matches any of the fares listed here it will earn SC's and points on QFF.

Thanks a lot, it is an N so no points. The MH Smart shows as a H so Discount Economy earn rate.

SWMBO got this message for a D class fare. 1st leg posted properly and got told that the second leg got posted to another FF program! Checked her Enrich account, nothing posted. Any suggestion on next steps?

Send boarding pass and original itinerary to Qantas Frequent Flyer and ask for them to credit the SCs and QFF points.

I have had problems with the email in the past so I just fax them instead.

I have had problems with the email as well, if you get an auto response they have it though.

Couple of days unless its Z class

2 Mondays have gone by now and my Z class flights have not posted... so will doing a manual points claim via FF service centre.
I think this proves that the Z class issue still exists!

Just to confirm, the email address is [email protected]. Alternatively, you can call 13 11 31 for assistance. :)
Thanks Red Roo. I have the email address. In fact I have some emails I have received from Qantas previously and I just reply to these with new details. Still do not go through. I have even had customer care on the phone while I was sending email and nothing received from their end.

One of those mysteries in life like my flights always delayed....

Emailed boarding passes/ticket through this morning and points/sc's have now been applied.

Although would be good Red Roo if you're able to escalate the issue with Z class flights not posting, as I think this issue will continue unless it is raised.. It would be appreciated by all here :)

Glad to know it's a quick turn around from email to earn. However I appreciate the inconvenience and have again passed on the examples to the relevant team for their reference.

I've got some intra-Asia and India MH flights in Z class in a couple of weeks. Will report back on how soon they post... and I'm hoping without the need for any manual intervention! Adding some complexity - just for fun - these were purchased as Y, and then upgraded (payed fare difference) to Z.
