"Massive" Qantas 2022 award seat release

Qantas says it has made the "largest single release of additional Classic Flight Reward seats in the airline’s history across its international and domestic network" at 7am this morning.

The additional seats will make it easier for frequent flyers to book a holiday in 2022 to popular destinations like London, Los Angeles, Fiji, Byron Bay and Cairns.

Qantas Frequent Flyers will have access to up to 50 per cent more reward seat availability on Qantas international, trans-Tasman and popular domestic routes until the end of 2022. Additional reward seats will be made available to book on qantas.com from 7.00am (AEDT) this morning.

Anyone found and booked something they were looking for?

Interesting that they don't make any mention of fare class. My guess is this is a dump of excess economy seats. Can't see any more business availability on the routes/dates I've been looking.

I've found a few flights I want to update my OWA with, called at 7:01am when I saw the awards go live, waited on hold for 60 minutes only to be answered by dead air waited and waited with no one talking only to be put through to the survey.

Currently waiting round 2 and hopefully the flights I want are still available by the time they answer.

Update at 8:40am: while waiting on hold all 3 dates I had as options are now sold out. Missed out Hopefully the backup of the backups come through.

Trying to get Business Class award seats except using multi city completely eludes me. I only get Y and Y+. Help? If I do multi city I see them but can't book them because it's on two different airlines and it can't cope. Sigh.

I've had a bit of a look around just now for J/PE seats to LHR, LAX, YVR, HKG and BKK and don't see any of this extra availability! Has it been snapped up already or has Qantas just not released that much?

Edit: If I log in I can see some seats 11-12 months out (as a Gold member). But still not seeing much other than that.

I was on straight away at 0700 and didn’t see anything at all released for Dec/January LHR/LAX/YVR which is what I was looking for
