me - I doubt I can make it, but if my employment prospects don't improve then I will be travelling around the place. Why not return to Australia for a few days!

Recurring sounds great. I mean. who knows; I may have to change my plans and stay in MEL. Who wants to be in Syd every few weeks anyway? NOT me that's for sure! ha :p

I never introduced myself so here goes:

About me; I'm late 20's F; who studied Aviation/PPL/CPL etc at Moorabbin about 10 years ago. I left that to work and eventually started a business. I love collecting airline goods, anything really; bags, mugs, cards etc. I'm the one at the airport with all the different old airline bags! Have about 50 to date. I am also known to frequent MEL, even when not travelling! I also play soccer, hence my username

What time is Melbourne Drinks planning to start.

I need to go to Sydney but I thought I should fly via Melbourne Friday night, its the most direct route. ;)

Where are we meeting in the casino? it's just I'm not overly familiar with the place, but I do know it's quite big, and I'm looking for a bunch of people I've never met.

I vote for a change of meeting place - (not venue) just bar, from the sports bar which after consideration, would be a difficult meeting place to all hook up to:

The Pub at Crown
Level 1, West End
Ph: 613 9292 4001
www.thepubatcrown.com.au

Mon, Fri & Sat: 12pm - 3am
Tue, Wed, Thur & Sun: 12pm - 1am

The Pub at Crown combines contemporary design with the laid back feel of a traditional pub. With bistro, lounge and bar areas, The Pub is committed to quality food and beverages, with a large selection of international and local draught beers, wine, coughtails and meals from light dishes to hearty fare.

This is adjacent to box office on level 1. From the Melbourne exihibition centre end, up one level and you are there - from any other entrance, enter the gaming area, (with the Yarra river at your back), turn right and take any elevator or escalator you see to level 1 - exit the casino gaming area at level 1 and you are there...

Any thoughts?

Mr!

:)

Sounds fine to me...easy to find as you say...we had an FT dinner there 2 or 3 years ago.

I believe it was actually PJ Obrien's South-bank - after the Tram car Restaurant.

Nup, about 6 or 8 people including tom911, ajnz and myself - nothing to do with Ozfest. My aging memory is not quite that bad yet...

Hey all,

I'm going to need to give this a miss :(, something has come up which will keep me in CBR...

Hope everyone has a good night, and have one for me...

Just leave your CC at the bar and we will all have one for you on you! ;)

Bad luck - see you next time harvyk

Mr!

:)

I'm a scratching. But did book that trip back to Australia (for early Aug), so might see an AFF'er at one of the airports or somewhere else.

I'm intending on attending, but not much has to go awry given the ~2 hours travel to get there to muck things up. May also not make the move from Crown to 1806, all depends on how things pan out.

I agree that The Pub would be much easier to find than the Sports Bar.

See y'all there. :)
