I think the plan will be to have lunch at the Wine and Meat Company (as suggested by munitalP) from around 11:30am-1:30pm (or longer if people want to hang around). Any other suggestions for lunch?

I am off to the Essendon-Collingwood match and will be back to SYD on the 9:00pm QF flight so should have plenty of time to get back to airport.

The last flight of the night MEL-SYD on April 25 is now $155 on QF, $115 on DJ and $78 on TT.

So much for waiting and not booking tickets earlier.

And don't forget to book the restaurant as well!

Mr!

;)

Flights booked for 25 April. Arrive into MEL at 10:30am on QF and depart at 09:15pm on DJ. Should have enough time for lunch and the Essendon-Collingwood match. Looking forward to it all.

Can someone please book the restaurant for 11:30am? MunitalP? I think there are around 12-13 people interested in lunch.

Not sure how many are actually going to attend.

I’ll be there…

Here's the "Lunch Specials Menu" - Sundays $25 including glass of "House Wine, Local Beer or Soft Drink":

As for the standard menu, think of a Price and double/triple it:

I didn’t think $16 for a caesar salad was too bad, depends on the size though.

And yes, I do realise it’s a steak house :p

I guess that is not too bad a price for lunch at that type of restaurant. A salad should be more than enough as I can grab a couple of pies (No, not thos 'Pies) at the MCG.

A long way to go to have lunch! We could have had lunch at Broadbeach, The Mill or Breakfast Creek. ;)

I'm now a confirmed attendee thanks. :)
Great. Looking forward to catching up again.

Lunch is booked for 12 people at midday as that is the earliest they do lunch.

If we want more than twelve there is a requirement to run off a set menu that starts at $55 through to $95. I suggest we run with that at this stage and if there is going to be more than twelve then we break it into two separate bookings.

Thanks for taking care of this straitman.

Rather harsh requirement to go set menu if number of people is greater than 12. I agree that it's a lot easier and more flexible to have sets of bookings of up to 12 people each.

Tell 'em they're dreamin'. Next they will be saying they cannot handle individual bills either.

Sounds like a good idea....
