I really hope so. Where are you getting your info!?

Sky news....staying awake now to await the Malaysian PM's news conference which is scheduled in 30 minutes...

Also reports that family members from China are to be flown to Australia on a chartered aircraft

Unconfirmed....MH currently organising chartered flights to bring relatives to Perth

Paramedics being called to family briefing by MH in Beijing suggests confirmation that parts of MH 370 have been found....families just told MH 370 found with no survivors

Malaysian PM confirms that further Isatellite data analysis of MH 370 suggests that MH 370 was last noted to be over Indian Ocean with no landing sites, and that beyond reasonable doubt, that there were no survivors....whilst this was the expected outcome, I'm feeling very numb and sad personally!

Malaysian PM confirms flight MH370 ended in the Southern Indian Ocean.
Very sad news for all the families.

I feel the same - extremely sad day for all involved.

Indeed sad but at least now the grieving process can commence rather than there being faint hopes of a miracle.

And with the wreckage found the search for the black box can commence and the reasons for the tragedy eventually uncovered.

Wow I hope that the passengers went quickly... Imagine being stuck out in the ocean for almost 3 weeks... :(

Wow :( My heart goes out to all the families at this tragic time...

What now? What do we do now.....

Saw the presser on ABC24.

Further press conference to be held in the morning with more details - the press conference was at 2200 local Monday (0100 AEDST Tuesday) which according to a reporter was an unscheduled press conference.

Looks like the mystery of "where?" has ended - now to find out "how?" and "why?" which will be easier with wreckage than without.

Sad news overnight, but at least the closure can start for the relatives of the victims. Cannot help but think what would be going through the mind of the wife of the Perth victim though.

Assuming the that the Inmarsat analysis is correct and the Malaysian announcement that followed is also, then only part of the mystery is solved and it's the part that most people already assumed to be the case in some form or other.

I think we all knew this to be the most likely outcome, just hoping for a left field theory that would have given a more hopeful result.

Oh, good grief. Why? I can only assume that the Malaysians want the scenes created by the relatives in news conferences to go elsewhere. Presumably now the Australian Authorities will be the object of the grief and attacks of the relatives.
