Just discovered that the Google Docs form opens perfectly fine in the browser in my Samsung Galaxy S III. I assume it's the same for any other Android device.

If so, this continual bit about "you've got my number" is really not relevant.........if not, please show some courtesy to those that have worked hard to pull this event together and take your private drinks/dinner date elesewhere (it would seem if big-noting is not the main aim, then a PM would suit).

Given I am there for more than one night and more than one function. Who I have a drink with is my business.

This is exactly right - maybe I should have clarified that at the start with the free exec lounge access for non "staying" or non "status (and staying)" guests who are attending the event.

I only booked last week, and the only room I could get at the ahilton was a 2br apartment at the Residences, though Wotif and other sites seemed to still be offering rooms at the Hilton.

There are many other hotels at surfers. Also look on wot if or similar sites to see if Hilton still have rooms, or *gasp* ring the Hilton and name drop the event (and me) and see what happens.

He does have my number and when we are in the same town, we do tend to catch up for a drink. (or 2)

My original comment was posted to let people know we were planning to be on the Gold Coast and wouldn't be attending dinner but was happy to catch up for drinks. (Before or after the Xmas do)

I wasn't competing with the event and only one other person is having dinner with me. No-one else was invited.

I think your comment was strange and unnecessary.
