Hi munitalP

Me and my +1 will need to bow out of this one. I was always going to be late with my go/no-go decision but it was decided last night that it was not meant to be.

I desperately wanted to be there as it looks like an amazing evening - I'm sure it will be a top shelf night as every event you organise is fantastic.

*sad face*

Have a ball. I look forward to seeing the pics.

Finally we'll get to meet some of you. Count me and my wife (Flyingzzzds) in. Won't be staying at the Hilton :( as we already had other accommodation booked for an event further down the coast. But platinum for the dinner - may be a little late for initial drinks.

Form filled out as requested.

MutinalP,

Thank you again for all your efforts.

I have changed my accommodation arrangements and sent you a PM with details. I hope this is all okay.

I am really looking forward to this event. It should be a great night :)

See you all in 8 days :) :p

Now I'm really spewing I can't afford this... last night at a nerdy writers festy thing I won something that would make the best AFF Kris Kringle pressie.

Now I need to put it somewhere safe and hope I remember where it is for December Xmas do

If we gave you enough material for a new article, would that convince you to come up? :p

On a serious note, :( to hear that you can't join us. But you have reminded me to think about a KK lucky dip present.

Gordon, I have PM'd you with more accurate info. it appears Mrs GPH may have us down twice

It needs to be something vice-ish (shameless plug: All Things Vice).

Actually I have an article on travel hacking in the July edition of Kill Your Darlings which is a niche literary mag, starring our very own jdlover23 :) But it won't be available online and the magazine has a readership of about 8, so all secrets will be safe

Edit: sorry for the hijack. No doubt there will be lots of sinning going on. It looks like an awesome event - kudos to munitalP for organising. I expect to see lots of photos and real-time updates please :)

So, I won't be attending due to a work trip to Cannes that has me departing on June 30.

However... I've organised someone equally as good looking and intelligent to take my place... someone who did over 300,000 miles last year and has been to more airports than I've had cold lunches. Should be a great night!!

What's her name?

Xmas event conference name tag production line...

I have not been able to get any lanyards for the name tags, so if someone has 30 odd lanyards laying around, feel free to bring them, or bring you own if you dont want to clip or pin the conference tag to yourself

Looking good, munitalP!

I thought I had a bunch of lanyards lying around, but instead I can only locate 9.

Happy to bring my meagre supply in case someone doesn't want to mark that wonderful shirt they bought for at least $100. :p ;)

Wow - I am impressed!

Myself and +1 are really looking forward to this event - we are combining it with a visit to his Mum at Burleigh Heads first.
Also looking forward to visiting the new Virgin Lounge at OOL.

Will see what spare lanyard supply we have.

Fantastic job you've done organising so far munitalP, thank you! Don't let me forget to buy you a beverage at the bar!

I'll bring an aviation related lanyard for myself. I have a bunch of other lanyards as well that I can bring if we expect a shortage.

I have manageed to find one so far.......

I have at least 3 unbranded lanyards, and probably 10 branded (IT).

I have an Officeworks near my office. I could pop in there and grab a packet or two of lanyards - they're not that expensive IIRC (~$1 each).
