Any thoughts on whether a DEFT payment would meet spend criteria? T&Cs only point to gambling and I read the earlier post about Bpay being accepted, just wanting to be sure since technically it's backed by another bank and not eg. a retailer.

Thanks!

Applied for card last Friday evening. Approved Saturday pm. Card arrived yesterday (Thursday). $4000 spent on card within 30 mins of opening envelope, and card placed in drawer not to be used probably again ;). Let's see how long it takes for the 115K points to post :)

Should post with your first statement, NAB are great with posting bonus' (for the last 2 cards I've had).

I applied for the card last Tuesday evening. Was approved on the Wednesday and had the card in my letter box by the Friday. Fastest processing I've ever experienced. Now to spend 4k.

I applied for the card and received it within the week . have chalked up $3700 spend so far & rego due within the fortnight . Sweet as . It knocked 8 points off my credit score , so back to 851

I dropped 29 points :(

Urgent!
Has anyone used ATO payment as "eligible spend"*?
(I know that it does not qualify for reward points, as noted in the pdf, however, the pre-application details specifically only mention "gambling" spend as excluded from the "eligible spend".)

Thanks!!!

Can someone please tell me what income proof NAB request for this card? As I have income from multiple sources, I would like to know what they request. Thanks.

Copy of last years tax return , last two payslips ... Obviously if you will be relying on multiple income streams to make up your income , then the last tax return will be the biggie .

Applied for this card last Thursday. Oddly have not received an email confirmation of my application nor any other form of communication.

Give them a call. You should have got an application number on the website when you submitted your application.

Regrettably I did not write it down - I've never had to.

Will make the call though - I have a bunch of spend I need to make on a new card.

It's a good idea to print/save it to a PDF. Doesn't take long and you can delete the file once you get the email if you like.

Would be worth checking your spam/junk email folder in case the email did come but was wrongly considered to be spam.

Well that was my first piece of bank generated irritation in my card churning career.

They took twenty minutes to identify the application was in the system, simply stuck apparently.

Having unstuck it they are unable to confirm if I am still eligible for the 115k offer that was live when I applied, fortunately I did screenshot that so we can fight that battle later.

There will be other times where something will go wrong. For most people it's not having the bonus points post within the prescribed time limit or not being aware of when they cancelled their last card. I echo the sentiments of @mviy, it would be incredibly foolish not to keep a copy of every interaction you have with the bank.

You live and learn I suppose.

This must be card number 20 or so across myself and partner and this is the first issue I have run into - I guess I have been lucky.

I had a similar issue with this card. Applied and didn't hear a thing for two weeks. I chased them up via Social Media and somebody called and left a message to call with a reference number (I also stupidly didn't write it down). Spoke to somebody in India who said "the reason we were calling was to verify your details" (except you weren't calling... I was chasing you!). Turns out they'd found an existing NAB profile from 2002 and wanted to cross check the details. No idea why they didn't bother to get onto me. The next day I got an email asking for payslips, and the card was approved about 48 hours later. Just over 3 weeks from application to approval, which is pretty poor, but got there in the end.
