New Amex statement credits

I assume this was from the QF 20% back deal which is supposed to be capped at $200. Please advise what statement credit you actually receive as I may spend well over the $1000 mark if the $200 cap is not being enforced.

I'd be interested to see if you get more than the $200 maximum.

:D Can confirm the email was correct!

What a way to start the day! Just booked more QF flights, have a Hilton stay tonight, booked a Pullman for next week, and have a Meriton booking lined up ready to go. The best part - will get to rinse and reload all again :D

That's not my experience. Never had an issue.

I've had some cashiers refuse any additional payment by anything other than cash, ie $25 gift card, $30 fuel, they will only take $5 note. Other cashiers don't care if balance paid by another card or credit card.

Same, had cashiers say that payment could only be split between one card and cash.

Just a quick question on the Hilton offer. Ive got a total of 4 cards with this offer which id like to use for a 4 night stay. It's easy enough to book each individual night on a different card, but the T&C state that you must pay when checking out (in order to get the $150 credit). and that...

There are some rooms where its an early bird rate with no cancellation - which do require prepayment. Surely amex can't tell the difference as long as its a 'hilton purchase'?

Has anyone tried to split up the bill on multiple cards on the way out?

Many Thanks for the help.
