New Amex statement credits

I have received and activated several but am waiting on an additional card to come through the post. Will see how vpay react over next few days-suspect its been busy in their (presumably small) office
(I see its backed by Heritage but I bet they don't have abig team on vpay)

Heritage is the mob that also do Qantas Cash/Qantas Prepaid ....

doh
that does mean they sell vpay visa's off a central database? ie: no more avail in ACT as well?
Didn't get a chance to go out today :-(

I overheard part of the conversation with vpay I described earlier. Definitely Australia wide issue.

WARNING: Those buying GC's etc HN back office just called me to say that they would not process an online GC purchase due the Amex Offer.

Easily fixed. Head into the store. But do it without further delay as they may cancel over the counter gift cards as well.

All this heartache makes me glad I actually bought something in HN that wasn't GC or VPay.

I don't believe that there is any 'heartache'

No one who purchased any of the vpay vouchers has missed out on anything at all.

Those that waited too long can still buy gift vouchers in store or any product they like in store and still get the $100 cash back.

The offer lasts until the end of the year.

I am not fussed as I was just buying a $5 gift card to top up a $299 purchase rather than some batteries etc. So I will just buy some batteries or another cheap purchase now. I have months to do this.

My warning was more to alert that HN back office is well aware of the issue and so Online GC purchases may not generate the $100 rebate. So buyer beware.

I dont understand why they are not allowing online gift cards for HN as wouldnt they still be receiving the same money as if it was a product purchase as you cannot spend HN giftcard elsewhere.

Harvey Norman clearly doesnt like cashflow in their business

Because the GC hits Harvey Norman directly and not one of their franchisees.

Looks like the PIN issues I had on one of my Amex cards (still unexplained by Amex) may be going to cost me $100.... Three out of four HN statement credits may have to do.

If you like Thai, try Thai Angels in West Footscray.

Love Thai, will check it out when in MEL next week.

Meanwhile I'm eating Japanese almost every day thanks to Shop Small :) Today went to visit a mate, on the way back home stumbled upon a nice Japanese restaurant, quick google check confirmed they participate and moments later I was having sashimi plate for $10 :D

Which Japanese place is this?

Anybody trigger Hilton cash backs with Gift Cards?

Yes. I got few $300 gift cards from Hilton to bypass the 'one transaction' requirement and got cashback.

Notice GCs are valid for six months and can only be used for booking at the hotel you bought them from.

Hi, did you buy in person or via correspondence? cheers
