New Amex statement credits

I was able to purchase a $200 XS card at Westfield Sydney on Saturday across 2 cards (was going to attempt a $400 XS card over 4 amex's but didn't want to test my luck too much), didn't receive emails and credits haven't posted yet. Also on Saturday split payment over 2 cards at Sunglass Hut QVB (20% off offer), received emails almost instantly and the 2 x $25 credits posted on Monday. How many others are still waiting for Westfield credits to post?

Mixed bag.

Some Westfields have come through, some Rebel, some Myer and some First Choice. All others worked straight away.

Across the deck - not one account has had all of the above four come through. Some have 2 and others 3. Do you get the idea that some poor AMEX employees are going through every card registered per outlet and checking to see if they have transacted?

Every account has numerous credits and offsetting debits put through them. These only seem to ever appear when there are cashback offers.

Coincidence?

I've not had a problem with any of these credits coming through. Everything paid within 2 days. Although one of my XS gift cards ordered via mail appears to have been lost. Will be contacting Westfield tomorrow.

Red one or the XS...it's all getting confusing. ;)

Both of these.

Mine have all come through within a few days of charges posting - Amex have been very efficient. I no longer worry now when I don't get the trigger email.

Does this actually work? I have had to book a QF J fare for my wife's boss who is notorious for cancelling late or no-showing and of course I immediately saw a chance to use the QF Amex credit offer. I read the fare conditions very carefully and believe it is fully refundable in either of a cancellation or no show. Are you suggesting that QF will keep the credit card surcharges in a refund situation so I would keep the Amex credit as there will be a mismatch between the purchase and sale amounts?

I purchased a $100 vpay card at HN in SA yesterday no questions asked. HAd already spend $200 in store and online in previous transactions.
Bought 2x $100 red gift cards at westfield west lakes SA yesterday too again no questions asked and put on 2 different amex cards, one not in my name but they didn't even check cards.
The qantas vouchers can not e used on jetstar flights can they? Looking to fly to darwin in march with family and qantas is $1k more then jetstar atm.

hey blingy90 did you end up getting the credit for the 'pre-paid' booking ...i am hoping to do the same.

Has anyone had any luck with pre-booking the Hilton and still getting the credit?
I have a 2x night stay coming up and will try and split across two cards - ideally pre-booking to secure cheaper rates would be great!

When you receive your latest AMEX statement and the debits go for 3 pages but the cash backs go for 6 pages. Priceless!

How is that possible? Don't you only get 1 cash back for 1 purchase?

Yes, that's correct.

However there is some overlap with statement periods and the cash backs are in double sized bolded typeface for dramatic effect.

That's Gold :D :D. I think you dodged some soap in other body orifices :o. I wouldn't even involve my wife about what to shop with and where - I'd be excommunicated :o

When she got home, I pointed out she had 4 Amex's and could have done the other 3 cards as well. At that point she started throwing soap at me :)

Same got it on the Explorer. Still find it weird that I get a lot more offers on the Explorer vs the Charge. Would have thought it would be the other way around.
