New Amex statement credits

I'm currently overseas and will try my local hn when I get back but it seems it s going to a cough fest.
From finding out whether it's vpay cards or or physical cards.
Whether split payments are ok or even which manager is going to implement which on the spot policy
I'll give it my best shot

Just been to HN Balgowlah.
Bought $500 mygift with primary Charge-no problem and email received
Tried to buy a $1k with Accelerator. Wouldn't scan properly. Despite me saying it was OK, manager comes down to desk, says that the Amex offer has stopped then disappears for 10 minutes. He comes back holding an A4 piece of paper (?just printed) saying that Amex not taken for GCs anymore.

I went to Harvey Norman at qv Melbourne . They had a sign saying gift cards no longer part of promotion which the t & c 's do state .
Said they only had epay which has apparently withdrawn its functionality while the Amex offer is on .
Multiple stores in different states. I wonder if we'll see another Amex Harvey Norman promotion?

Why not? Whatever you read on this thread reflects only a small fraction of consumers. Most AMEX users don't have access to this info and actually spend more at HN because of these promos. Further more, I have friends whom I've told of the Vpay option and still they are too shy or can't be bothered doing it and they end up making legitimate purchases from HN.

I'm sure HN will continue to run these campaigns albeit making it less attractive for people that purely just want it for GC's. My only concern is if they will stop allowing split payments that's all. When they price match + stacking these offers, majority of the time they are actually competitive.

Checked another HN went out the back to look for these physical visa card..... Anyway comes back and says we "returned them, expired, not sure when getting back".... Suggested I try other stores!
His system said $300 vpay, no signs. Very calm.... Poker face they were

What does it say that leads you to this conclusion? Care to share a link?

Spend $400 or more on flights with Qantas and get a $50 credit

Taking a break could be even more rewarding when you fly with Qantas. That’s because, from now until 9 June 2017, American Express is giving a $50 credit to all registered Card Members who spend $400 or more on flights with Qantas online*

It did say all but seems not to be the case. My link just takes me to a page that says I've already enrolled-sorry

I'd love this offer. I have a use for this offer. It has been a very lean year. Five months in and not a good trend.

I didn't get the Qantas one, but just logged into find these 2 new ones.
